As for the original poster - there is no escape room on Allure.  It was supposed to have one, but never got the upgrade.  For the ships that have them, they will show up on the app (after you board) and (at least before the pandemic) it was $20pp to sign up.  You had to sign up as soon as they became available because they sold out pretty quickly.  However, usually, there are several times throughout the week (or however long your cruise is).

thank you! I am not an inexperienced cruiser so I was super confused on why we couldn’t find the escape room on the allure. It was on the signs. I just thought that I was stupid and couldn’t find it.

    thanks for all the info!

  2. It's been years since I went on Carnival, but I did like the food in the MDR better on Royal, but I have to say I haven't been impressed with MDR food on RCL lately either. IMO there are far fewer rowdy children on RCL.

However, I did like the late night food options (Guy's burgers, etc)  better on Carnival and their on deck movies were good as well. I don't like watching the movies in the aqua theater. I prefer Carnival's screens on the pool deck where you can sit in a lounger with a blanket and (free) popcorn.

  3. We were on Symphony in December and noticed the quality and quantity of trivia games was low. In August I was on the Quantum and there was a lot of trivia activities and it was actually really fun. We're not concerned about the  The same for the cruise before that. Has anyone noticed if this was ship specific or has it changed fleetwide? All in all not a huge deal, but trivia is usually a favorite activity of ours on cruises.

  4. Maybe I should have clarified a little further, the notarized letter is from the grandmother giving dw guardianship we have the court order giving grandmother custody. The court order I was referring to needing to get is permission from court to take kids out of country since that is pretty much the route we would have to take. But I do appreciate all your replies was just hoping someone on here would have had a similar experience.

I would bring a copy of the court order giving grandma legal custody along with a notorized letter giving you and your wife permission for medical decisions, travel, and participation.

  5. Just my opinion based on my experience, but in over 26 years of cruising we never have experienced any noise in our staterooms that required ear plugs or any other type of noise canceling device. If you don't use them at home I doubt you'll need them on a ship. Besides, I couldn't sleep comfortably with headphones on my head!

I can kick my husband out of the room at home, but on the cruise I have to put up with him.

I just invested in a pair of earphones called bed phones. They're made for sleeping on.
