It's our first time also! I have been looking up videos on youtube   Rick Steves is very informative as well as others.  It's amazing how much info is on youtube lol and no folks shaming on your posts.  Happy hunting!

This will be our first time disembarking from the Rome port. The airline has moved our flight home to USA up to 10:30 in the morning. Is this a viable option? Can we get to the airport in time? Thank you for the help!! We have done self carry domestically and gotten off very early but I am not sure how it works internationally.

Rhodes- how easy is it to get a taxi or public transit to go to a beach? The cruise line offers beach tours but we usually go on our own so we are restricted to a timeline. Are there any beaches you recommend?

We are a group of 10 so sounds like taxi's might be the best option.  My mother is fighting getting a knee replacement so mobility is an issue for her.  There's no way she can make it up a steep hill. I'm reading different reviews and so I just want to make sure we will get picked up at the bottom of said hill.  I don't want to have to leave her there lol.

I didn't know they had tribute bands. Awesome! Can't wait to see who we get 🙂

Thank you for your review! We will be sailing on March 17 and I’m super excited. I am sad to hear about the pool chair problem. I had hoped that was something they had fixed but apparently not. Do you think there just wasn’t enough of them?

:cool: We rented a car through Kenny’s car rental when we stayed on the island. He met us at the airport, we got a car right out of the lot and we drove all over the island without any problems. Thoroughly enjoyed riding around in the car I will say. The roads are very easy to navigate and it is quite difficult to get lost. Just keep driving and you’ll eventually go all the way around the island

Kim Sha Beach is not that nice if I remember correctly. It is in the middle of a couple of resorts in the Simpson bay area.

I love Kontiki Beach. They have great food and very comfortable chairs. They are a little more pricey but great.

Maho is a bad recommendation if what someone really wants is a NICE BEACH........:rolleyes: Not to mention the long taxi rides each way. Great to look at airplanes, but a terrible recommendation to someone who wants a nice beach.

I agree Maho Beach is no good for sunbathing, more like a little strip of sand on the side of the road ;)
