did anyone happen to catch if there were any deals for specialty dining/chefs table when you came onboard? Trying to figure out if we should buy a 3 dining package in advance of if we are better off waiting?

I am having the same problem on Chrome and Safari on my Mac, and Safari on my iPhone. I'm glad I"m not alone.

I am on the Edge on August 7th, and just changed my check in time to 11:30, so I will see you then. 😄

I am on your sailing (assuming Aug 22nd), and just got off of the Adventure of the Seas on Saturday. Check in at the pier may be a temp check, and just making sure that your health status has not changed since filling out the questionaire the day before. They will also take pictures of your Vaccine card. My guess is that 1pm is so that there are less people congregating in public spaces before the staterooms are ready - and odds are pretty good that the staterooms will be ready when we get aboard.

This is what is currently on the website for these sailings. They are doing PCR tests, NOT antigen tests. This way they have one set of tests for both vaccinated and not vaccinated.

We are planning to rent a car for this period also (we are on the same cruise). do you think that overnight parking will be a problem at the port?

My daughter just got married onboard the Rhapsody of the Sea.  They told her they had to be at a port to do the ceremony onboard.  Who knows if that's true or not since the whole thing turned out to be a disorganized mess.  We (I) paid a lot of money for one of their wedding packages and didn't get much for it at all.  No pre-planning or contact by wedding coordinator until a few hours before the scheduled time.  Nothing was setup until some of the wedding party got there early.  It was in the Crown and Anchor lounge with several groups of strangers milling about even in the background of the podium during the service.  The officiant was the wedding coordinator and, of course she botched the name of the groom and laughed when she couldn't pronounce the bride's last name.  I'm coaxing my daughter to let RC Weddings know how disappointing it was.  Luckily, she was glowingly beautiful and the groom and bridesmaids were fun, energetic people who smoothed things over and the wedding photographer was awesome.  Now, anybody know the best way to notify the Royal Wedding division?

Document everything in writing and contact Royal Weddings directly.

We had Tanya on the Anthem for the new years cruise - her last cruise before moving onto her current contract. She is FANTASTIC.

Anthem is definitely available the first 4 months of 2020.

OK...so this was a error on the flyer with all the officers names that was available in the Diamond lounge upon boarding.  Tornado Tanya is the current CD on Anthem, and she did an excellent job.  The rest of her team was kind of weak, though - perhaps it's because they are shorthanded, without an AM while Tanya fills-in as CD.

From what I understand from reading some of the threads here, it was a family emergency.

A thread in one of the Anthem of the Seas groups on Facebook has Dennis Charles already back as cruise director.

I will be very curious to know how this works out - i hope folks who do this report back ... 

Wait - so Dennis is back on the Anthem now instead of the beginning of January? It's not still the activities director?

I'm very sorry to hear about Dru. We got to sail with him twice - and I really liked him. Dennis I don't like as much (felt he was a little bit too full of himself and heard him talking down to his staff, which I really didn't like) but that's ok. it won't make or break a cruise for us.

Agents are able to secure group space in advance which may lend itself to having less expensive prices for cabins than the prevailing rate.

Solarium Bistro on Embarkation Day is one of hte better places to go. Most head to the Windjammer.

Just know, OP, that not all agents are like this, but the ones that are what gives TAs a bad name. I am sorry you had this experience.

Not a problem. You can even change it at the pier.
