  1. We too have TUI  flights Bristol to Malta for 18th April 06.00am dep,  you’re right no bag drop off night before. P&O advised me that we are on a charter flight so no online check in facilities, we decided to pay in advance for our seats to ensure we sat together and plan to get to check just after 04.00am knowing we have our seats. The seats cost £20 per person for each flight. Hope this helps.

Anyone actually received any refund money??
    we are still waiting

Yes we have, full amount was sent to our credit card and was showing on our account on 8th February  but back dated to the 5th by our bank. The  pre booked excursions were refunded separately a day or two earlier. Hope you get your refund soon if you’ve not already.

  3. We were booked on Singapore to Southampton and when I rang for details of options I was told about the 500$ obc plus £2475 fcc or full refund. We chose the full refund, still waiting for confirmation email. We felt the new itinerary which we understand the reason for changes, wasn’t why we chose this cruise on QM2. Flights were booked by Cunard so no problem there and our hotel in Singapore we could cancel up to the day before we arrived so no loss there.  We were disappointed having to cancel as we booked January 2022 and now busy looking for somewhere else to go before our Christmas cruise on QV!  Hope everyone still going on this cruise have a lovely time.

  4. We did a Cunard British Isles cruise last month and called in at Kirkwall, we had been here before on. Princess cruise a few years ago. This time we were able to go on a tour from where our shuttle bus dropped us at the local bus station. This was run by the local bus company stage coach and cost us £21 each and left about 10.00am. No commentary but the driver did tell us about where we were going and the history. We visited Stromness for coffee, and walked to the stones, a bit like Stonehenge, Scapa Flow and beautiful scenery. We were lucky with the weather though.

Can any one advise the current costs of the 2 wine packages and what is the selection

Just sailed Queen Victoria and disembarked 1/9/23 and purchased 6 bottle Captains Wine package at a cost of around 310$ an increase from 299$, included 15% as before. Can’t remember what the other one cost but that had increase from our previous cruise.

  6. Thanks to all for your advice and suggested hotels, which we are very grateful for . We’ve booked the Fairmount Hotel and the gold harbour view room. I’ve also checked out the Asia port of call board and found some very useful advice on how to spend our couple of days pre cruise in Singapore.  Many thanks, Pam

  7. We were on QV October 2022 and at the time gold and in Brittania Club. Boarding started early and we were on board for lunch. We were told to sit with priority and when it was announced, to go through  with Princess Grills guests, as we were told they don’t normally mention club. In grills for next month’s cruise, also now Platinum, so waiting for our boarding time to see what we are assigned.

  8. Well, many thanks for all your replies, I think I’ll have to start looking at all the hotels mentioned, then decided where they are. Checked out one already the Fairmont, and as Port Royal recommended, the Harbour Gold room seems like what we’re looking for.We thought we’d like to be close to the cruise terminal but I’ve read that taxis aren’t that expensive anyway.  We fly from Heathrow on 20th March @ 18.55 arrive in Singapore @ 15.55 on 21st, board Qm2 on 23rd. So I’ve been assigned to research and book by my dear husband. Once again, much appreciate all your input and advice. Pam.

  9. We are joining QM2 in Singapore sailing back to Southampton in March 2024. Flight has been booked through Cunard a couple of days before we sail and want to book hotel prior to boarding on 23rd. I’ve been told that normally hotels are available to book around 11 months before, for some reason they may still be “negotiating terms”. At the moment I’ve been told to keep ringing as it shouldn’t be long now. I have looked at booking direct with an hotel but would prefer to let Cunard arrange it all, then any problems are theirs! What would you do?

  10. We recently were in 7071 Northern Lights cruise in October, this is a Club Balcony though. 6090 looks on the deck plans the same size balcony which we loved. The weather was cold for us but we did manage to make use of the space whilst in port. I would book one of those cabins again without a doubt. Enjoy. Pam

  11. We received ours today, they thank us for “our amazing hardwork” and couldn’t have done it without you! It continues that our dedication and passion, so thankful to have us as member of ships company.   And it is from Senior Management Team.  Meant for staff I think not paying customers. Merry Christmas!

  12. Sailing soon on QV Northern Lights cruise and reading this thread with interest regarding internet costs. At the moment we are gold members of world club and one of the now perks is 45$ each towards package. As we’ll only use 1 iPad can the 45$  for both of us offset the full cost if we decide to take it up for whole cruise (purchase on 2nd day).thanks.

It's a long time since I booked an excursion(!) but I think this is a new departure, that I too noticed.  I will be asking for my service charge to be removed unless I get a very convincing explanation for it.  Given its quality, Cunard should be paying me to use their website, not vice versa!

    Totally agree!🤙

  14. We are sailing on Queen Victoria in October and have started to look at excursions. We have booked one for Tromso and received a confirmation email. Is it normal for Cunard to add 15% service charge to your onboard account, which they say you can amend or cancel once on board? I can understand , I think, if I dealt with someone to help with booking but I did it through my Cunard online myself.

  15. Thanks all for your replies, I understand that the benefits aren’t  that special at the moment but thank you AspirationalFlyer for answering my question. We have Hong Kong to Southampton booked so thought by then we’d like the little extras by being platinum! Pam

  16. We are one cruise away from becoming Platinum, by number of cruises taken and 10 days by number of nights onboard. Am I correct in saying that if we take a short cruise of 3/4 nights that qualifies? Or is there a minimum number of nights required. Thanks for any help. Pam

  17. We usually purchase the wine package and always enjoy the choices we have, be it the Commodore or Captains package. Does anyone have any information about Cunard Own Label wines, which we assume are similar to land restaurant House Wines? Thanks.

  18. We were on Sky Princess 28th March 2022 from Southampton and we had the package. It worked very well for us in the Restaurant, we were Club Class Estrella. The waiter took our order and asked if we wanted another glass before the existing one was empty. In fact after a couple of days, he offered to get us a large glass of wine, to save going again for refill! This worked well and we were never charged extra. Whether they put it through as 2 separate glasses I don’t know but he used his app to order and brought the drinks to us. We never exceeded our 15 drinks per day though!
