  1. Hi,

I'm looking at a Premiere Casino rate that's $50 less for 3 people total than the Early Saver Rate.  The Premiere rate does include
funplay, think that's Casino only credit of $200.  The cruise is for next April, so likely a busy Spring Break sailing.  Do I take the early saver or the casino rate? The early saver would give me price protection, but I may be throwing away the credit and $50.

    Thanks,

They gave you your money back and a free cruise, they did all they needed to. This is literally the point of having insurance no matter who it's on or what effort was made.

I called and got $700 OBC for our next cruise.  I'm happy now.  It's easy to just say they gave me a free cruise. This was an extremely low cost cruise.   You also are required to go within a year, which a lot of people can't do.  So it's useless.

    Hi All,

Had a question.  First and foremost I understand unforeseen circumstances regarding the fire.  I'm sitting in Orlando and Carnival simply emailed me that my cruise was cancelled. No offer to find me another cruise or suggest cruises that may have unbooked staterooms. Just boom, it's cancelled.  They did offer reimbursement back to my original payment method, which is unfortunately Carnival gift cards as well as credit for a future cruise.

Here is where I am.  I'm in Orlando, off work and my son wants to enjoy a vacation. Now that bill is on me as my cruise is cancelled.  Would it be unreasonable to ask Carnival to pay my lodging expenses for what would have been the length of the cruise?  Has anyone had success doing this?

  4. Hi All,

I haven't been on RCCL in a long time, since 2000 on Explorer of the Seas.  Looking at a cheap Independence of the Seas cruise and had a few questions.

I normally book inside, and or oceanview.  What's the biggest bang for the buck.  I'm seeing 160sqft rooms mostly, which is Tiny, I know Carnival has like 185-190.  It's a big

difference as NCL has the same 160sqft which I wasn't fond of, especially with no window.  Any suggestions?

Has anyone been on this ship recently? How are the activities for an 8 year old active boy?  He loves ropes courses, mini golf, water slides.

In regards to Cococay, I see there is a small little water park area.  Are the lines insane with 3000-4000 people?

    Any tips are appreciated.

    Thanks,

  5. Question for you all.  We live in Georgia, so we are a short flight or a reasonable drive to Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral and Miami.   How likely are last minute deals
for sailings and are the discounts steep?  Was thinking about trying to find something in May last minute..

  6. Hey All,

Looking at cruising Feb 2020 to the Carribean on NCL.  Is it just me or is the pricing super high?  Is it just because I'm so far out?  Do you typically just book and cancel or get a price adjustment or what strategy should I go with?  Looking at Encore, perhaps it's just because it's new.  Should I expect price drops?  $2500 for two, sailaway, no promo for a guaranteed balcony seems really pricey to me..

    Hi All,

Years ago my parents went on an MSC cruise, don't recall the name of it.   My Dad is a steak and potatoes, born in the south kinda guy.    What are the buffet options for say Kids and Not so fancy eaters?  Burgers, fries? Pizza?  Fruit?  Chicken?   I remember them complaining all the food was "foreign"... Lol   I was thinking about going on the Seaside...

  8. You would have a good chance in getting an upgrade with a bid in the "poor" range well in advance of your cruise. There is lots of inventory in the balcony and minisuites on most cruises.

Thanks... Lowered my bids to the "Poor" range..lol. If I don't get it no harm no foul, if I do great.

  9. Hey All,

Going on NCL Escape in Feb again, I have the pick one free thing, but Gratuities are excluded. It will be me and my 6 year old son. Any suggestions? I'm not a big drinker, plus I think it's like $120 charge for tips, etc upfront. It's western carribean so the $50 shore excursion options look kinda weak as well. Wifi, nah...

    Any suggestions?
