These are reasonable prices. I work at a coffee bar, so I know!

Do it!.....We cruised out of Baltimore at the end of January in 2012, yes it was a little cold and WINDY sailing down the Chesaspeke Bay--but we just cozied up with books and magazines. It warmed up by the time we hit the Carolina's and it was plenty nice at Port Canaveral (Kennedy Space Center was amazing) the Bahamas were warm as well. I loved it!

I am going to cancel the cruise I had booked for January and never book Carnival again.
Why blame Carnival for the weather? Your next cruise is in January...the end of the season. If they decided to change or postpone the cruise early, you probably would have been mad as well. They can't win.

The last time we went we googled or yelped a couple of good homestyle Caribbean restaurants that weren't too far off the cut, but away from the crowds. Had a good meal and felt like I enjoyed the real 'Nassau'.

I have a feeling if you are a celebrity you've leveled up from cruising to chartering private yachts.....no matter the cruise line......

No problem! In Cozumel, we did a two tank dive (we are both certified divers), and the reefs were absolutely gorgeous! So much coral and so many fish! In Progresso, we took the tour to Chichen Itza. The ruins were very cool to see but we wished we had more time to walk around, be prepared for long bus rides to and from the ruins...we still thought it was ultimately worth doing though!
Thanks for the reply. I think for sure we're going to do Chichen Itza, we're traveling with our 16 year old son, I feel it would be foolish to miss one of the wonders of the world!

Thank you for sharing. Can I ask what excursions you did in Cozumel and Progresso if any?

Hi All...
So my Grocery Chain sells Carnival Gift cards, and we get "Fuel Perks" towards gas on every $100 dollar purchase. Sometimes they have deals where they double the perks, or lower the $100 spending to $20 to receive perks. I used Carnival gift cards for my deposit and was able to save $1.20 per gallon of gas (and I have to feed my car premium gas...so it really helps)
Now I am thinking about opening a Credit Card to use to buy more Carnival gift cards at the grocery and pay the balance so I could get "Fuel Perks" AND "Fun Points". Then would I be able to use the "Fun Points" to pay my SS card at the end of the cruise?
I'm just trying to figure out if this is possible....TIA!!!!

This is so exciting. TAR is one of our favorite shows to watch as a family. I hope this is an excursion they offer when we cruise to Cozumel next July.

We stayed in Baltimore in Fells Point at the Admiral Fell Inn. The parking and shuttle was included in the offer. It was a few years ago, but it's worth checking into. The Inn was historic and supposedly haunted(!). It was also right around the corner from the Pub where Edgar Allen Poe had his last drink.

Experienced Jeep Renters--Questions for you!
in Cozumel
Posted
Hi...so after much deliberation we've decided to go for it and rent a Jeep. We don't want to spend all day at Sanchos, or any of the other resorts, we just want to drive to various beaches and beach bars.
So my questions are:
What company do you recommend?
What beach bar has the best food?
Any beach bar/clubs rent Jet Skis?
Do we need to make advance reservations?
If you are not going to am AI club...can we take ships towels with us?
Thanks!
