  1. When the new beverage policy was put in place there was a long discussion about where to find regular cranberry juice in cartons.

Found a whole shelf of liter cartons of Ocean Spray cranberry, cran-apple, cran-grape, etc. in the Puerto Vallarta Walmart.

So cartons are produced, just need to find them.

    Sadie,

Since we live in So Cal I've seen plenty in the markets like food 4 less and superior!

    Great info thanks!

Hi! We usually drive in to Galveston. We are thinking of flying into Hobby this time. Can anyone give me an idea of how long it takes to get from the terminal to baggage claim and then to shuttle pick up? It doesn't look like a big airport.

We would land at 9:05am. Could we take the 10:00 shuttle?

Thanks for any advice! I'm nervous about flying - this may be the first cruise I need my sail-away drink BEFORE I board!

I travel to Hobby in south Houston a few times a year. It's pretty simple once you deplane you go downstairs and wait for luggage. Within ten minutes of arrival your at the carousel waiting. The carnival bus is right there as soon as u exit the airport.

When we cruise We come on the night b4 from Los Angeles and take the free hotel shuttle back to the airport arrivals and wait for the bus. We sail out of Galveston June 2016

You will have plenty of time.

    Have fun!

  3. We are thinking about flying into Houston Hobby the night before our cruise. We will stay the night in Galveston and want to know what is the best way to get to Galveston from the airport. Did you take a taxi or limo?

What was the cost? Thanks so much!!

We have done Galveston and took a limo about a 50 minute ride from the Hobby area. We will leave from Galveston again in June 2016 and this time we purchased pre and post cruise transfers (35.00 one way p.p) through carnival.

Because we live in CA we will fly in a day early so it's our responsibility to get back to the arrival area at Hobby, but most hotels have free shuttle service.

I travel to the south side of Houston for work a few times a year so their are plenty of hotels with 2 miles from the airport!

The issue with the limo was we had seven people and a weeks worth of luggage and they actually had to send two cars ( one for bags)

    Hope this helped a bit!

  4. Just curious on how much your average S&S bill at the end of any given cruise was? I was thinking about this as when I was closing out my account on The Allure of the Seas a few years back, the lady in front of me was going crazy about her account final statement, it was $5300!

I felt for the lady helping her as she was under pressure from the start, she printed out her tab and when I was finished with my account, it was still printing, 10+ pages! Normally I would not even care but she was so loud in her protests that they finally took her to an office in attempt keep things down as everyone was aware of her issue.

Our last cruise tab was around 1K if I remember right, that was for several shore excursions etc.....

I have had it as high as 4300 cuz of the casino and and low them giving me 84.00 back as I had lots of OBC and fun ship dollars

  5. I can care less if cameras are watching or not! If I have nothing to hide or have done nothing wrong I can give a rats behind!

And if I ever decide to do my hanky/panky on the balcony that's the chance I take and those watching may just enjoy it

  6. I have the same issue! We're out of Galveston on June 12. ,2016 now on the Breeze. We did the exact same itenary in March 2013 on the Magic & we loved the ship that's why we booked her again. At least it's the same dream class and we were able to keep our same four rooms and our 50.00 OBC was also transfered per room. So now we are actually excited about the Breeze as none of us have sailed on her!

But I agree I tried to get on the roll call on Ship Mate but am not able to change ships as of yesterday!

  7. We were booked on the Magic for the June 5 sailing, and received the email that we were being switched to the Breeze. We also had the same rooms assigned to us on the Breeze that we had on the Magic. However, my email didn't say anything about being eligible for the $50pp OBC for changing ships. Did you have to call and request this?

When I looked on my new e mail mine wasn't there either so yes I did call and she saw it it right away! Then I checked under "' manage my cruise" and it was there right undee our prepaid gratuties. Good Luck!

  8. We sailed the Magic Easter 2013! We liked her so much we booked again for June 2016. Only problem is now The Magic & Breeze swapped ports so now we will try the Breeze!

The Magic with 3600 +passengers never felt crowded and I never waited in line more than 10 minutes.

My choice for you would b the Magic & with their dry dock in February it wil look brand new!

    Have fun

  9. Spoke briefly to a Carnival rep, who did not have many details?

But said that the Valor would switch with Magic out of Orlando?

Anyone booked on Valor who have recieved an email about this switch?

It seems like the Magic would be comparable to Breeze. I'm looking to find another cruise since my Breeze June 2016 was switched to Splendor (and the rep said it would be the same price NOT lower)

We are booked on the Magic from Galveston for 6-12-16 and were just told its swapping with the Breeze in Port Canavaral. So now we're on the Breeze out of Galveston and yes our 50.00 OBC PER ROOM came with us! We did the magic in2013 so now we're excited to try the Breeze, & because it's in the same dream class we have our exact same 4 rooms on the Verandah deck!

  10. Last year on the Carnival Glory we had a GREAT room stewad, named Laslow from Hungry. We were on the Verandah deck port side.

Anyway my daughter ( 8) at the time loves those towel animals. Well he also knew that she loved chocolate chip cookies. Well each night he made sure she had her cookies, and on one evening he had a junglle full of animals made up. I mean he had a Elephant, monkey, and even a dog. She loved it so much she gave him a big hug.

In Cozumel we saw him go shopping, he said he bought some of thise cup of noodles. and two granola like bars. On our last night we presented him with two boxes of 12 each of Granola, and a full case of 24 cup of noodles. On the box of noodles we taped a 50.00 bill and my daighter made him a picture. He loved it, BUT MORE importantly he CARED about MY daughter. AMAZING~~~~
