I was wondering if anyone has done this tour, we are due to later in the month. I am wondering what clothing would be recommended. Thanks.

Can I ask what beers are available on Magic? Draught, bottled and is there any craft beer?

That happens all the time when only limited info is given at the outset...Details can be important to alleviate useless answers, suggestions and experiences...Oh well, sometimes those might just help others looking too. ;)

Sorry I didn't mean to upset anyone. I thought I was concise but clear. The thread title was RCL Pisa excision. The reason I put RCL was for clarity.

It's on par with climbing the cupola at St Peter's.

This I have done a long time ago. My sister in law really wants to climb the tower. She has already been to Florence and loved it. She is the one who has advised us to leave Florence till another time as a few hours is not enough time. Our group has only 2 things that are must do's on this cruise. One is the leaning tower, the other Pompeii. If we were not travelling with children we would be more likely to travel independently.

Will return to Florence at another time. Combo trip too much when travelling with young children. One member of our part really wants to climb the tower.

Sorry just for clarification, it is Royal Caribbeans trip to Pisa alone (not the Florence/Pisa combo) that I am asking about. Not wanting info on other tour companies. I have heard that we may have only 45 minutes in Field of miracles and that may not be enough time to ensure we get to climb tower. Certain members of my party will only travel on RC trip for fear of any issue causing them to miss ship.

I believe the Junior suites are bigger on other ships though.

Bath and double points for the cruise, as far as I noticed that was the only real benefit over a balcony when I sailed in one on Majesty last year.

This is what i plan to do.

If you are two families booked into a Royal Family suite can you bring 2 bottles per family? It is booked under 2 separate reservation numbers.

I was on a cruise on Adventure in the Med in 2010, it was heavily promoted heavily in Ireland for some reason. I couldn't believe how many Irish were on this cruise which sailed from Malaga, Spain. They hosted a St. Paddys night in the Pub on the promenade. The cruise was in October!! So what they do may well depend on how many Irish are on board.

As long as they keep Paulaner, Heineken and Blue Moon and a couple of descent red wines in stock I'll be happy. Not really into spirits except the odd frozen cocktail.

I think I would prefer a lanyard to some of the places I saw women pulling their s&s cards from last week! The poor waiters who had to touch the cards after they pulled them from their bra! I would be totally grossed out.:eek:

I can't see how this would gross out a waiter. In fact I'm quite sure quite a few of them wouldn't mind fetching it themselves from there:)

I have noticed in many peoples signatures, that they have sailed in a Big Red Boat!!!:D Was this some kind of novelty cruise ship? Or is it slang for being on land or something? Was there a big blue boat, a wee green boat....etc?
