Flashlight, nightlight, and short extension cord. (They say you shouldn't use a surge protector strip.) Bull nose clips to hold curtains closed.

They will confiscate any multi plug outlet in your bag.  Its not just what they say, you will delay your luggage delivery significantly and have to go down and get it around dinner time.

  2. I completely disagree with your TA.  You have more power now before final payment then after.  With that said I don't see any option to get your money back, you could cancel him, but my guess is his fare was bought on some kind of bogo50 offer that rccl loves so much, this makes that second passenger very cheap often cheaper then the solo supplement.  You can absolutely cancel the UDP and no show the taxes and fees which will be pennies comparatively speaking.  But getting the cruise fare back is not likely.

Unless (and its a huge unless) you want to cancel the cabin entirely prior to final payment and have your 20yo son be 3rd guest in your room on the couch.

  3. I did RU to CL 1702, and have a question as the room is marked as 30% obstructed.  I am rather surprised that I can find no information about this obstruction anywhere on the internet.  There is one post on the Harmony about it being a slightly slanted wall divider from 2016 but that is all I can find?  Does anyone have more insight into this and especially is the obstruction noticeable from inside with the curtains open?

  4. Really one big question, and its not can they come to CK 🙂 The problem i'm worried about is RCCL forced me to book myself and one kid in the suite, and my wife and the other kid in the BL (they are 15 & 12).  Am I going to have any issues with my WIFE coming to CK even though she isn't officially on the suite room?  Is she going to be able to get into the suite lounge, the suite sun deck etc?  Any suggestions on how to make this as painless as possible?  Again I'm not trying or wanting my kids to enjoy these suite perks but the whole point of the trip was for my wife and I to enjoy them.  Thoughts ?

I don't see how either of these things are a big deal. Why do people look for problems on vacation? Lol

People smoking weed on their balcony will drive everyone around them from their balconies.  That is a 'big deal' and needs to be addressed.  You have the right to enjoy your balcony in a fashion that does not infringe upon the rest of the guests.  Not to mention its a fire hazard.  This isn't an argument about pot being legal or not, its not allowed on the balcony, ever.

  6. You can't put restrictions on service dogs.  Emotional support animals you can ban or do whatever you want to there is no legal protection but a service dog and its owner can NOT be restricted on any ship or flight leaving or landing in the USA.

If you have a service dog you can go to anywhere the public is allowed, a movie theater, a 4* restaurant anywhere.  Of course with all things there are limits, the dog can not be barking, growling or baring its teeth in a threating manner.

You can not ask the owner what their disability is, nor can you ask for the dog to demonstrate its training.  Yes this can, and is often abused.

I didn't know you could order liquor for the room!  Where is that option listed?

You can't so no idea what they are talking about 🙂 Bottles of hard liquor are expressly forbidden you can't bring them on board pre-cruise, buy them on the ship.  If you buy them in port they will hold until you disembark.

If it's a built in swivel TV there's no way. We couldn't in our OS on Navigator...something we never thought of until we got there. Hopefully the type of cabin you're considering you'll be able to.

You can access the HDMI on all the TV's even the tilt ones, its very tight and difficult to get your hand back there, but it absolutely can be done.

I didnt think it was worth starting a new thread just for this one question.

Do Junior Suite guests get free drinks through happy hour? I know they can book dinner in coastal Kitchen so was wondering if they also get the free drinks as well as they will be in the suites lounge/coastal kitchen at this time?

No, JS are not allowed in the SL at all.  You only get dinner (with reservation) in the CK no breakfast/lunch.

USA says one day, RCCL says two days.  So the answer is any time the day before your flight.  However, things could change on 2/25/2022 with regards to testing.  But the sad thing is, you will still need the test to fly to the USA.

I'm doing the reverse.  Flying to Canada, the day before the cruise.  Will take one test to handle both items.  Hopefully it will be more relaxed by May, but for now, one test for both.

You are aware that traveling to Candara requires PCR only correct? Antigen is not accepted.

  11. I'm trying to understand what is different about RCCL, every day I talk to someone different about some amazing cruise special they got.  Even after booking they get thrown free drink packes, free excursions etc.   Yet RCCL seems to be getting away with not offering anything beyond what they did precovid and charging as much or more for things like drink packages?
