1. This is one of my dresses I'm having made for formal night. It's tea length and a satiny material. I'm assuming it's formal enough. My DH will wear a white dinner jacket.

What kind of jewelry? Definitely need a statement necklace but pearls, diamonds, or sapphires?

I love it! very vintage looking...beautiful..hmm mb diamonds?

  2. Meant this post for "Seamist"...found these shoes on Amazon..they r "Qupid" brand and only about 20-25 dollars.."Qupid" makes really current styles ...don't know if you like high heels or not...only thing is if you are able to walk in them! I think they are cute though!
  3.
Hey all. Been lurking for awhile and decided to post my bargains I found at dress barn. (All 3 for less than $80) I bought these for an upcoming 21 day cruise in March, and have been very excited to go shopping this time around. Over the past year and a half I managed to take off 130 lbs and for the first time in 20 years I'm back in a size 10 - whoo hoo!

I thought I would stick with cocktail dresses as these I may be able to wear again when not on a cruise ship. Now to figure out what jewelry and shoes to wear!
Very cute dresses..I especially love the black and white one...congrats on your 130 lb loss...WTG!:)

Just bought this dress on ebay...it was inexpensive so figured i'll see how it looks on...mb wear to non formal night dinner or just around the ship. The top(bodice) looks a little sheer so will have to see what's up with that..not a big fan of strapless bras so might just wear a reg bra and sweater over so straps don't show...ANOTHER black dress LOL...can't help it!

Bid on this dress on ebay....figure it's plenty "formal" for formal night on Carnival(elegant night). I agree with other posters here about people not really dressing up for"formal" nights anymore. I think it's just the way society is these days...kind of a bummer...I look forward to dressing up on cruises..it's part of the fun

  6. I recently saw this in a magazine where they showed the designer version and a more reasonable version and they both looked gorgeous. I can't remember which stars were wearing it but I love it!

Thanks ladies! I thought it was really cute too...def NOT buying the designer version LOL....found a "knock off" on ebay....only thing is I always buy blsck dresses...try to venture out to other colors but just love LBD's....thanks again...

  7. mkxp1TC37b_ZMELx0c33f5g.jpgThought about getting this dress for cruise in January...for formal night. Its a 4 day cruise on Carnival to Ensenada and having taken this cruise last year from what people wore it's dressy enough for a formal night on that cruise.I love the long, elegant gowns but seems like everyone I saw on this cruise sticks to cocktail dresses....thoughts?
