  1. I typically book the steakhouse 3 or 4 nights. They have a decent selection and the bread, apps and service (in addition to the entrees) are worth the price of admission. The desserts leave a bit to be desired. I tend to stick with the ice cream. You won't regret it.

    Enjoy!

I'll be sailing on a 7 night cruise in less than a month. I've reserved a table at the steakhouse on the third night (non-elegant night) and last night. I'll be dining in the MDR on the two elegant nights. Looking at the menu and reading all the positive reviews about the steakhouse I wanted to schedule two nights. I'm now considering three nights but was wondering if this is too many nights? Is the food that much better than the MDR for three nights? Can one order more than one entree like the MDR? I'm a solo cruiser and my next sail date won't be until next spring/early summer so wanted to take this opportunity to enjoy the steakhouse. I don't drink alcohol so the first night free wine offer isn't a factor. Thanks for any input!
  2. We go 3-5 times during a 7/8 day cruise. It took MANY cruises before we'd consider paying extra but, once we did, we have never looked back. The food is fantastic and the service is superb. The atmosphere is elegant but not stuffy.

You should definitely give it a try!

  3. Not sure exactly when we received our letter. It is not dated and something we did not open right away as we thought it was just another letter from a cruiseline enticing us to book. We seem to be inundated with those from January-April every year. Last week I received a voice message from a Carnival PVP telling me of the offer and, honestly, thought it too good to be true. I then opened the letter and it said what the PVP said-except that our letter had a deadline of 3/3 but the PVP said the "real" deadline was 3/5. We booked today. Feeling lucky.

  4. The kids and I (4 of us) are going on a 8-day spring break cruise. Paid $895 w/ $100 OBC for a balcony on the Empress deck. We weren't going on a cruise this year until the "free cruise" mail showed up. So excited! :D

That is an excellent deal for 4 people. Congrats to you as well! Though we've only had positive experiences on Carnival we've not been loyal to one line over another but this certainly gives Carnival an edge when it comes to us booking future cruises.

  5. We are booked for a cruise in June. Carnival contacted us directly-in writing in postal mail and via a phone call. Just had to pay port charges and taxes. Then we upgraded from interior to oceanview. Paid $287.00 for two people (total-not each) for a 7 day cruise. Loving Carnival. :)

  6. Just booked our FREE cruise. Yes-free. My husband was selected for a random offer for past guest. We'll be on a 7 day cruise in June in an oceanview cabin for a sum total of 287.00 which covers the upgrade from Interior, taxes and port fees. Yay us! LOVING Carnival!

Wondering how many out there are taking advantage of this offer?
