Well we are back. Thank you so much for the tips on getting Currency. We got some at all three ports. GC was extremely difficult because no one wanted US$. We finally found a very nice cashier and she traded out of her purse with my son. Then the person in Cozumel, tried to scam my son, until my wife stepped in. WAY TO GO HONEY!!

Just ask any of the cashiers. Sometimes they'll reach into their own pockets to trade with you :D (they did this in Grand Cayman for my DD who collects foreign currency, she got some from all 4 ports this last cruise - Labadee, Haiti, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Jamaica). This is her favorite souvenir!

My favorite thing to pick up is money from the island. I prefer paper money, but often pick up coins as well. It is a great addition to your scrapbook.

Any tips of getting money (paper or coins) from the Ports? My son wants to do this when we stop. I was curious if you have a hard time getting the local currency, since you are in a tourist section that typically deal in US$. Our ports are Montego Bay; Cayman Islands; Cozumel. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
