  1. Hi all,

My girlfriend and I are booked on a cruise right after Thanksgiving, but she just recently broke her ankle. The cruise is for her birthday and she still wants to make the most of it, but she will probably not be walking much, if at all, by then. If anyone has ever cruised with a broken ankle/leg, and has any tips/experiences that you wouldn't otherwise think of cruising on two legs, we's certainly like to hear!

    Thanks :)

  2. Is it safe to book a flight home at 11:15? How soon could we get off the ship and get to the Tampa airport? Are suite passengers allowed to get off first? TIAFAR.

update...After reading a lot of the recent member reviews, it looks like the self-disembarkation gets you off quite fast. Gotta give credit to Carnival for trying something new. I've never heard of that method before. It also helps that you can keep your bags in your room the last night. How many passengers would you say use this method? If a lot, then I would think the hallways and elevators could get quite jammed in the mornings.

Also, I believe I remember reading somewhere that if you have an early flight, you can go down to the purser's desk the night before and they will tell you where to meet in the morning. Don't quote me on this, but i thought I saw it in the last capers. I was in Zone 5, the first group called, and walked off the boat at 9:30. This depends on many things though.
