We just got off the NCL Bliss after a 2 week  W Caribbean cruise, including a stop in Roatan. I had been there a few times ..the West End is fun...but we wanted to snorkel. I used Shoretrips to book, but you can book directly with this outfit. RET sent a cab to pick us up...it turned out that we were the only couple on a ship of 4000 that found this company. Good for us! We met our captain..Alexandro and guide, whose name escapes me..and we set off. The boat was comfy and very easy to get on and off...good equipment. The first stop was the Blue Channel...an exceptional snorkeling spot...and I am picky. The second stop was equally great. I would highly recommend this company...one of the best I have found in the Caribbean!

Boarding was a bit of a zoo it seems.  They had to pause check in.  A lot of folks got there early. I was there around 10:30AM and the waiting room was packed already. 

 

The Local is completely full right now at 12:45pm.  Quite a contrast from my last trip on the Escape last Memorial Day week.

we always go to whatever the main dining room is at the back of any NCL ship for lunch on embarkation rather rhan the Buffett....so is the Local the only sit down choice at that time?

We were on the Star in 2014, so things may have changed, but I wished I'd found out sooner than the last night that they have fresh fruit sangria at a station in the buffet. (Where they sell the fresh-squeezed orange juice at breakfast. Completely separate from the actual buffet line.)

My husband and I will be arriving CPH August 17..early am. Do you have a suggestion for a hotel convenient to the airport and hen to the cruise ship terminal?
