WOW!! We met them in 2013 and they told us they sail 2 weeks a month on sensation-We told them we are setting our goal to be on their level (just maybe not on the sensation), every time we go on a cruise we think about them and if they are still on the sensation... but CONGRATS to them-they are soooo sweet and deserved the celebration in their honor:)

Pretty much all ships going in for drydock in the coming months is getting "Funship 1.5" instead of Funship 2.0, meaning that they aren't any good upgrades included, like JiJi's, Guy's, Blue Iguana, ETC. I was annoyed they deemed it 2.0 on the ships they applied it on (Victory and Paradise, for example).

I read that Carnival Victory are not getting all the upgrades that I had previously read it would, which has disappointed me deeply as we were going back on it again this summer after the upgrades-If this is true has anyone been on Carnival Paradise since the upgrades and if so can you tell me what upgrades were completed? Most important does it have Guy's?:D

Summer cruises will always many more kids then in october

I figured so just wasnt so sure-it just didnt give the feel of a kid younger adult feel

Keep in mind that Victory will be freshly upgradedor the summer season. It will be a somewhat different product than you experienced before.

do you know the dates for upgrades and what will be added? I tried to find it but couldnt find any concrete information

So Yea...Nassau day didnt start off well...For some reason beyond me, after eating good ALLL day and night...SOMEONE wants to order a shrimp salad sandwich from room service at 2 in the freaking morning. IdK what is wrong with me....The babe is in bed tipsy and almost sleep and I ask her if she wants anything?...." Yea...some chips"...Wth lol...You just do "cruise sh*#" when you on a cruise LoL...

 

So we both fall asleep like 20 seconds later and 20 minutes after that theres a knock on the door...I hop out the bed like someone bust in the door shooting and forget I took my pants off and almost gave Helga from Germany( they all put where they from on their name tags) a show she DEFINITELY never seen in Berlin lol...I give her a tip and now here I am...standing in front of the DAMN MIRROR...with no clothes on at 2am, eating a friggin' shrimp salad sandwich( cruise sh#%...we've all done it)

 

My GF MUSTVE forgot that she just as guilty as me putting in an order for potato chips because she jumps up frustratingly and glares at me from under the cover and hits me with the " OMG you have GOT TO BE kidding me...230AM DUDE??" Face........I just look back at her with a mouth full of shrimp and go..." They forgot your potato chips"...LMBOOOO..Cruise Sh!!!

 

By the time 8am rolled around that shrimp salad sandwich was Fighting Back lol...I did manage to get myself together and up to lido where Disney Magic was in dock with us...

 

 

And right beside her...Carnival Victory..

 

 

 

 

The Magic is HUUGE...and looks very nice.

 

After eating a quick breakfast up on lido we met up with the BeF and wife and headed off the ship....

 

 

 

Once off the ship in Nassau you head down the corridor between the ships and hang a right, where you make your way towards the entrance to the city.

LMBOOOOO!!!!!! yassss!!! "cruise $h!t" that is too funny cause its too familiar!! LMAOOOO!!!!! I am over here crying!! I love your reviews- I cant stop reading them.. me, my daughter and cousin are cracking up cause we know this ooooo too well!!! LMBOOO!!!

Man...somebody let me know if I am tripping or not...Is it just me or is the cheese sauce CRAZY watered down now? That picture of me on the plane knocked out on pg.1??....Yea..I was dreaming about the cheese sauce lol...I was so happy when I saw it I couldn't keep still in the buffet line as I crept towards it....I mean...I'm THAT guy....yea...the guy in front of you just ladling and ladling and ladling cheese sauce into a bowl until you get super frustrated and say " Sir...I'm just trying to get a chicken finger and get back to my son at the pool...Can you pleeease hurry up, or better yet just pick the whole damn pan up and take it to your table with you?"......Yea...I'm THAT GUY....So It hurt me deep down in my heart that Carnival is now serving CHEESE WATER:(....

 

Ok...I'm off the horse now...LoL.....On we Go.....

I thought it was just me about the cheese sauce!!! Thats all I go for is the fries and Cheese so I almost cried when I saw the cheese sauce on the Victory this past October!!:mad:

 

I know the worst thing ever is reading a good review and then the person seems to get hit by a Wonder Bread truck and disappears lol. I just wanted to let anyone who really was concerned on rather I was ok or not know that I am doing fine. Thanks for all your well wishes...I have missed everyone and cant wait to get back on a ship. Well, actually at work now and have mid-terms tonight in class so....Everyone Stay Blessed!!

Now...let me tell you a story about two of the most clueless people I know lol.

 

At this point we have not eaten much since breakfast, which is fine because we were kind of waiting to try to find something awesome to eat in Miami. Mind you we had researched restaurants and activities for 6 months at this point. So we set out to find some of the places we had looked at online....

 

The only problem was both of our cell phones were dangerously low on charge so Google was not of much help at this point but we're in Miami right? We can stroll Biscayne Blvd and enjoy the weather and just "fall" into any of a number of wonderful places so that's what we did.....

 

An hour and a half later I am almost carrying my GF down Biscayne Blvd....Her shirt has come OFF and she is leaving a sweat trail down the sidewalk....I'm looking around crazy like " Lord, where the hell is Waldo!?!"....And we have made a 5 mile loop around Biscayne Bay looking at each other like " Lets just eat at the hotel restaurant"....

 

Man....

 

When I tell you we left the hotel looking like Jay-Z and Beyoncé and came back looking like Weezie and George Jefferson....The concierge looking at us like wth.....

 

So we go up to the counter like..."maam...is there any other restaurants close to the hotel besides the hotels' restaurant?"

 

She's like yes...just go through those double doors over there....:mad:

 

I kid you not...when we walked through those doors....that's ATTACHED TO THE DAMN HOTEL....there was shops...and pubs...and boutiques...and restaurants and grocery stores and more shops...and escalators leading to MORE bars and restaurants......I looked at my GF....and she looked at me....and we liked to picked a fight with somebody on the spot just because!!!

 

 

Casablanca...where we would eat lunch....yea...the SAME CASABLANCA that we said " oh boy...I hope we can find this place when we get to Miami"....yea....THAT CASABLANCA!!!....200 freaking Feet from our hotel room!!!

 

I know I have not been on CC in a while BUT WHEN I TELL YOU that I am over here CRYING at this review.. This is good stuff!!

Actually, I suggest trying a bigger ship, like Dream, Magic, or Breeze. Those ships, in my opinion, have a lot of activities to keep kids and adults entertained. Freedom and Liberty are also good choices.

ok, thanks for the suggestion- we were looking at Breeze for Nov/Dec 2015. But let me go check those out and see what I can find.

Last month we went on the Victory for the first time. We have done the smaller ships, such as Fascination, Sensation and Ecstacy. I noticed there wasnt as many kids on the Victory and there wasnt much for even kids nor teens to really participate in, We were unsure if it was maybe just the time of the year being in October. We were thinking of doing the Victory again in July this time with the family which consist of all ages, but wondered for those that have cruised it during the summer months,if it is more kid and younger age friendly or should we stick to the smaller classes?:confused:
