  1. Even if Japan begins to open the true Japan experience is likely to be lost with limited operating hours and a Semi-state of emergency in most of the country.

Muse has moved from San Diego to Long Beach once again. Let’s see what they decide to do next.

japan is supposed to update the restrictions by the beginning of next week….. We shall see

  2. I have just booked a Celebrity Suite on the Trans Pac after the Eclipse Revolution Dry dock. When buying they had a pop-up quoting the price for an Undisclosed upgrade. When you look for more details the link takes you to photos of the “Sunset Suite”.

it does not show any location just says the cabin is 527sqft.

I could not find the cabins on the deck plan either. Does anyone know where these cabins will be located? The price is about 20% more than a CS and 10% less than RS. Seems steep for only 30 or so square feet.

  3. We have a choice of combining Kotor with one of these other villages, Budva or Perast and need your opinion on which to choose. We are not interested in going to the beach but thought the old town of Budva would be nice to through, but the pictures we've seen of Perast is quite picturesque too, so I am torn on which to choose and need your help. Thanks for your opinion.

Just came back from a trip last week. We used M Tours and did both. Mladen the owned is great.

  4. Has anyone booked a tour while in Kotor. I would like to see Perast, Budva and Kotor. How easy is it to find a private taxi/tour at the port to visit these towns? I have found threads and websites that mention pre booked tours but I am hoping to find one at the pier for this particular stop and I am looking forward to hearing from other cc members who did the same!:)

We have just returned from a cruise stopping in Kotor last week. We booked a private tour with M Tours. Mladen the owner picked us up and drove us to the areas you want to visit. had time for a lunch stop at the beach. Mladen goes with you to the main sights and will give you some history and insight to the Montenegro life.

His rates are reasonable and will custom build your schedule.

You can find out from his website http://www.mtours.me or email him at info@mtours.me

  5. We will be in Dubrovnik in May. Will the local merchants accept Euros? Yes, I understand that if you want to "Walk the Wall" you will need Kuna. Yes, we will use our credit cards for large purchases. This is the only port that the local currency is in question. Euros for all others. Appreciate Folks experience in Dubrovnik. Thanks:)

Just came back from a trip last week. NO EUROS but easy to use ATM's

  6. We will be on Emerald next June , and while researching princess excursions so far not impressed with some of the excursions in these ports .

Any suggestions for Salerno. Been to Pompeii so would like more of a comprehensive Almafi COAST TOUR.

how about Kotor , Montenegro. And Corfu and Crete?

Has anyone been left behind from a non ship tour .

Just returned from an Azamara trip stopping in Kotor. We used a private tour by M Tours Montenegro. Mladen the owner picked us up and drove us to the main stops in a new Mercedes. He is a great guide full of information and history. Strongly recommend his service. Very Reasonable pricing as well easily beat the Ship tour and was more informative and pleasant.

  7. We are looking to spend a few days in Italy prior to sailing from Venice. In researching our trip we thought of sending our cruise bags to our hotel in Venice (or the ship) before we leave home. I have looked at several companies and they seem to have good reviews. I am looking for two sets of feedback.

    1. luggagefree.com, luggageconsierge.com and luggagedirect.com has anyone used them?

    2. would you send to the ship or your pre stay hotel? (I am leaning to have it sent to the hotel. I am a veteran flyer and just always want to keep a buffer in case plans go up side down).

    Thanks for the help

  8. We live in Seattle so would require a flight either way. SF make the trip really easy, but have read some comments about Grand being tired and not as well kept as Star.

Elua is scheduled to be on the Star out of LA on the sailings we are exploring.

Do you think Club Class cabins are worth it? Seem to have very mixed reviews in the dinning room.

  9. I am looking at booking a trip to Hawaii next spring. I have options on the Grand from SF and Star from LA.

I live on the west coast so getting to SF and LA is a non issue.

We have sailed on Sapphire, Crown and Ruby so was just interested in thoughts as to which ship would be beast for a 15 day trip. Interested in Specialty Rest. available on each and overall experience.
