    Options....

The easiest option is the train - 1.... it's reliable 2.... reasonably priced (granted we have a surcharge on it).  Sadly - if you are in peak times - you might not get a seat... that's out pathetic rail system that combines suburban trains with the airport ones.

If you are in Sussex Street - the stops are with Wynyard or Town Hall - and the airport train stops at both - so no need to change.  Just google maps and check the closest one.

Getting to the Circ Quay departure..  depending on the time... it might be easier just to walk than trying to get an Uber to navigate all of the one way streets.. road closures.. Sydney has become a maze.

At the end of the cruise - that's FAR FAR EASIER.. just walk from the Overseas Terminal over to Circular Quay - a few min walk.. and catch an Airport Train. Don't bother with a taxi from that part of town... the cost.. the time..  it's just going to be a pain in the ****  Just have an Opal card and get to the airport in about 15-20mins.

It all really depends on the time that you get out of Sydney airport.. and the relative convenience.

Sydney Airport and the surrounding areas / streets get CONGESTED... and it's getting worse. Arrival on a Sat / Sun will make it worse... the morning peaks are the worst.

    *************************************

Where do we get an OPAL card and how long a walk to CIRCULAR QUAY?

    Thank you so much!

  3. I am a PLATINUM MEMBER.....and we are taking a Holiday cruise..

so sales haven't seem to be eligible on our ship.

Am I better off buying the drink alcohol / voom BEFORE the ship.

Are my NEW CRUISING friends better to wait until on the ship or

    do before as well?

Any advice would be helpful :)

Also...can we still bring on a bottle of wine each and a case of water?

  4. Hello!

We are 12 people arriving all at different times of the day before our cruise.

It makes more sense to stay in the same hotel with airport shuttle...

and then all of us catch our transfer to the port together in the morning.

Anyone have a recommendation? Ideally with an airport shuttle.

I like this one...but have read its not safe to walk around outside?

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston Intercontinental Arpt

    Aldine Bender Road Houston TX

Any advice would be great. Thank you

  5. We are wondering what we can do in the Falmouth area with little ones?

They will not want to shop....is this more a day we get off the ship..walk around ...grab a quick bite...then get back on the ship for the day?

Or are there little kid things to do? That aren't a super long drive away?

    Thank you:D

  6. I am a frequent Cruiser ..leaving again in a month.

I have been to St Lucia twice by cruise...loved it so much we are booking a week at a resort there.

Papillon by Rex Resorts st. lucia - Gros islet.

I have encouraged a group of people to go here with us..based on reviews and

my own experience. It APPARENTLY is undergoing MASS renovations

and should be open Dec 2015. HOWEVER we have read that renovations haven't started and that our Feb trip there may not work out at all.

Do you know anything about GROS ISLET and if this hotel renovations

    are started and looking good?

Hope you can help. We don't want to cancel...but realize we may have to :(

    Krista
