  1. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I wonder about bringing along a bottle of wine or two, and perhaps a bottle of liquor and some soda as well on our cruise to drink in the cabin. I've never done it, and wondered if it is allowed?

    Thanks!!:)

    Hi Trinity!

Good news. Yes! Princess allows one bottle each of wine per person, though many people bring more.

Please don't feel shy about asking a question because it may have been asked before. The fact is there are few if ANY questions that have NOT been asked before. But, many times a person will ask a question and generate a discussion thread just different enough that a LOT of new answers/ideas will result. Only a few diehards will ever mind seeing a repeat questions -- and those should really avoid using boards like this.

    Cheers!

  2. Um, if my spouse died before we could leave on our cruise, I really don't think the first, ok, the second thing, that I would be concerned about was if the cruise line was going to charge me the single's supplement instead of the couple cost. Maybe, I would be more concerned about the fact that my hubby had died instead of the cost of a cruise.

    But then, that's just me!

  3. I'll bypass the usual cameras, sunblock, etc as everyone takes those. So my 5 would be:

    Coffee maker and coffee

    Flameless candles

    Flowers

Small cash (stack of $1's for tipping; roll of quarters for laundry)

We leave auto tips in place but take thank you cards for extra tips

A sixth: A GREAT BIG SMILE!

    Cheers!

  4. Do you people prefer to bring your own notebook to read your emails and send news to home/friends, or do you usualy use the computers of the ships (LAN HOUSE??)? Or, the best thing to do is none of the options and forget the world "outside" ?

One thing to note: If you take your own computer you have the flexibility to download your email then log out while you write answers rather than having to use time to write answers at high per minute rates.

    Cheers!

  5. I'm hearing all of you on your balcony favorites. I'll add one. I love coming into port on my balcony. It's usually early, quiet, a perfect time for a cuppa, a lounger, a couple hundred seagulls and me and mine. :)

  6. Use magnets. I bought strips of them at the craft store and I'm ready to hang my door signs!

If you want a little 3D effect, but velcro dots -- the back side is a fairly strong adhesive but will come off when you peel it.
