The Jolly Pirates and the Depalm tours Palm Pleasures Snorkeling Adventure both seem to have identical itineraries: 9 am to 1 pm, 3 snorkeling stops (one of which is over the shipwreck), lunch and open bar. Both have excellent ratings on Trip Advisor.
Jolly Pirates charges $60 per person, but Depalm charges $89 per person. Is there a reason for that? Am I missing something? Is there any reason I shouldn't do the less expensive tour?

Thanks! Another general question- what was the mosquito situation in the 5 ports of call?

Thanks! So the Calabraza, Silvermoon, etc and the Pirate's Cove boat all go to the same turtle spot? Good to know!

I'm familiar with all the great catamaran reviews and know about the deal that Pirate's Cove offers for the snorkeling trip, but which is the best way to see/swim with the turtles? Snorkel from a catamaran or do the excursion at Pirate's Cove?

THANKS FOR THE REPORTS!
How was the deck chair situation poolside on the days at sea?

Celebrity Equinox is supposed to be in port from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Sept 1, 2016. Most private tour companies seem to pick you up in Fira and then go directly to Oia and then continue with a tour of the rest of the island. We are looking at a 5 hr private tour with Unique Santorini Tours that starts in Fira but goes to Oia at the end and then returns you to Fira. Assuming that we start the tour at 11:00 am, that puts us in Oia sometime in mid-afternoon. Is this smarter than going directly to Oia first? From what I can gather, 2 other ships will be in port earlier than us that morning, at 7:30 and 8:00 am, while 2 others only arrive at 4:30 pm.
Mambo or Pirate Bay for sunset?

Cruise ship doesn't depart until 10 pm. Looking for a beach near the cruise terminal where we can do some evening swimming, have a drink, listen to some music, and watch the sunset.
