Thanks for the input!! Such a tough choice I think I want someone to choose for me

I agree that I need help deciding too. I am going with a group of about 25 people and I just can't decide on a beach. We all plan to taxi to one of the beaches for the day then go shopping in town before we leave. They all sound nice. Beach chairs for some is needed. Bathrooms must be available. Snorkeling possible. Server not necessary. I've been to Coki and Megans Bay. Just don't know what is best for my group. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is a taxi readily available when we are done soaking in the sun on Eagle beach? Where would be the best place to pick one up? We have to be back at the ship by noon. :(

Where is Bamboo Blu Beach in Ocho Rios? Is it easy to get to? If we need a taxi how much would we expect to pay for a taxi? Is it safe or would we have to deal with a lot of beach vendors? What is there to do there? Any particular area to go to? Lots of questions here but I'm sure the answers will help lots of people. :)

If we decide to take the bus, what type of signage or bus color do we need to look for to get downtown?

Does anyone know if there are whales to be seen in the Cabo area now? Or have they gone to the cooler waters as they did in Puerto Vallarta? We have a tour planned in Cabo and we really could put our excursion money to better use if there are no sightings. Thanks for your help.

The bridge is over the Rio Cuale. That's a good place for a taxi to drop you off.

Hi. We've decided to have our own fun in Puerto Vallarta and walking along their Malecon. I just need suggestions as to where we should have the taxi drop us off. ALSO does anybody know where that chain linked bridge is? We found it once but couldn't find it during our second visit to PV. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your quick response and correction. We will seek our transportation outside the gated area. I'm thinking who ever we hire could take us to the beach for a while after the tour and pick us up at a designated time from the beach area to get us back to the ship. Excited to go!)

A pulmonia should be around 6 bucks.

How and where would one catch a Palamino? Would it fit 4 adults? Would the driver be able to take us on a bit of a tour to downtown, especially the cathedral and see the divers, then take us to one of the Golden Zone beach areas? If so, about how much should we pay? Do they get tipped? I appreciate any advice on this.

Very doable !!! The officers from one of the ships I sailed did the lighthouse walk regularly.

 

You will pass within a block of the water taxi terminal on the way to the lighthouse and back.

 

The time for the lighthouse walk will depend on your pace, but there will be plenty of time to do both.

 

If you want to save a little time, you could hire a Pulmonia taxi to take you to the base of the lighthouse hill.

How much would be a good bargaining price to have the Pulmonia take you from port to the base of the light house or from port to the Golden Zone? We don't want to take a tour we just want to enjoy a few rides in one to get from here to there. Thanks

Thinking of taking a cab up to Cas Abou for the day. Can we bring our cooler and ask the driver to stop and fill up with beer on the way? Okay to have open intoxicants on the beaches here?

We always bring a small cooler for fun like this. Did you do this? Was it easy to get a cab from port and is it easy to get a cab back? Beer and beach is a perfect way for us to visit a port. Just need to get there and back safely. And how much was the cab ride? Any info you can give is appreciated so we are not stumbling around when we get off the ship. Thanks.:)
