  1. Hey guys-- I hope this isn't hijacking this thread-- I started my own, but it hasn't seemed to generate any responses, So I am posting my question here as it seems this thread is pretty active!

After many years of "wishing," I have decided to get on Board the Sixthman Cayamo Cruise. I've done all the pre-sign-up stuff, but am feeling a bit disheartened, as I have heard it's all but impossible to "get in" unless you have been on a Sixthman Cruise previously (kind of a Catch-22). Today, in reading a review of last year's cruise, I read this and sunk a little deeper:

"Cayamo's popularity has grown and now sells out each year. Priority for booking is based on your past 'loyalty’ – bookings start with those with the most consecutive (and current) attendances, followed by those that have sailed some time previously and, finally, newcomers who usually need to know someone to get on to the boat."

So... am I doomed to never check the box beside this particular bucket-list item?

I and husband will be on cayamo 2018..for the 3rd time. Did you get a cabin?

  2. I have no useful information for you but I am a Rock Boater and I just wanted to give you a high five! We are almost there!

Thank you. I'll take your high five. We are going back for our second Cayamo cruise on NCL. Its been a while since our first. All of our friends have continued to sail since starting in 2012 and the journey began in 2010! We took a long break, and I am thankful to go again. Emmie Lou Harris, Paul Thorn, Rodney Crowell etc...It will be grand. Have a great time on the Rock boat. We may even stay on board while docked in Roatan...definitely shopping in Cozumel but off the beaten path.

  3. My H and I will be on Jade for the Feb 19 sailing...lots of music and good times ahead. We are aware that some people got displaced because the Jade was chartered. Sixthman always has a ship for Cayamo; sorry about that. I am looking for excursions and information about Cozumel shopping w/o using Norwegian to book. I haven't been in Cozumel since 1980! Taxi ride from port to downtown or is walking an option? Any suggestions are appreciated.

And what does one do in Roatan if monkeys aren't of interest? :)
