My DH and I are sailing back to back on the Fantasy later this month. Can anyone tell me what we do on turnover day? We do have to change cabins because the second leg of cruise was just added yesterday. Would appreciate any info.

BillOh,
We don't know them. We've lived here 41 years, so it wasn't a silly question.

LaQuinta could not change our reservation from 17th to 18th, but the Radisson had openings for both nights. We booked both nights,so if we get cancelled we can at least have a short vacation in Cocoa Beach.

We will be joining you on the first leg of your B2B. This is our first cruise on Brilliance. We drove to Ocala today, and will be in Tampa early tomorrow. Ready to sail! Looking forward to your review when I get home; no electronics for us this week.
Happy sailing!

:) Thanks so much for your informative review. We'll be sailing on her for the first time in a couple of weeks, and reading your review has me ready to go now!!!
Glad you enjoyed your cruise.

Thanks for posting your review. Quite entertaining.
Mariner was our favorite ship , too, until she left PC.
Then Freedom trumped Mariner .
I am not happy that Freedom is leaving PC.
Happy cruising, all.

We've not cruised out of Tampa before, and several people have told us it's a little confusing to park at the port. We've heard that we might have to park several blocks away. Anyone want to share knowledge with us?
Also, someone mentioned they have valet parking? Has anyone used that?
Thanks in advance, and as always, happy cruising.

We've been to Cozumel several times , but it's been several years. We will be there in February. We've never eaten a meal there off the ship, but since friends are joining us for this cruise, we thought it might be fun to try a local restaurant. Any suggestions?
Thanks, and happy cruising to all!

Plastic wine glass? Here in Georgia, we use a [emoji445] Red Solo Cup... [emoji445] [emoji5]️
 Love it !!!!!!! Your neighbors to the west "might" have done that, too. lol

Leaving in two weeks for the eastern Freedom cruise. Hope you left the ship in good condition!
We'll be on there with ya!!! See you then.....

Btw I prefer deck 8, deck 6 is out of the question, people will look into your cabin a lot as they walk by the promenade. Deck 7 is better but you have the people on deck 8 looking at you from the top. I prefer deck 8, no one above you and the window is not flat as in deck 6-7 instead is semi round with more opportunities to look down
Thanks for sharing that you liked deck 8 promenade stateroom. We will be in one on FOS next month, so it is reassuring that we made a good decision.

We don't really enjoy the waiters singing and marching around the MDR, but I am sure there are lots of first timers who really get a kick out of it. So, we just wave our napkins along with everyone else!:o
Freedom is our favorite ship, maybe because Port Canaveral is only a 6 hour drive. I am not sure we'll like the Oasis---too big, maybe? We'll really miss Freedom.
And, as always, happy cruising to all!

We always eat in MDR on formal nights. We enjoy dressing up even if just for dinner---and as several mentioned---it's a great time for family pics. Next month on the FOS , we plan to eat in Sabor first night and Chops another night. We sometimes eat in Windjammer on the last night----probably because we're pouting about having to leave the next morning.
And, as always, happy cruising to all!

I think my husband and I will purchase our drink packages on board---to use our OBC. I'm curious though; if you purchase online, where do you get your souvenir coke cup? Do you get in line where the packages are sold, or do you have to go to customer service?
Thanks in advance. And , as always, happy cruising!

Check into the various memberships you have - warehouse clubs, auto clubs, AARP, etc. They often offer travel services and give you OBC. We booked through our wholesale club and got just over 8% of the price of the cruise as OBC.
One can learn something new every day on this board. Thanks so much for that suggestion!! Kaye

Word of mouth is one way. Talk to people at the Meet & Mingles. We found ours from our dinner mates.
Thanks, Bob. We'll do that in October. :)
