  1. Hi folks- sailing the Rotterdam on 1/2, and took a guarantee Vista cabin category. This is my 34th cruise, and I've had a guarantee cabin quite a few times, all of which were assigned well before the cruise (between 20 to 35 days). We're now at 12 days and still no assignment. I know it's the holidays, but I'm surprised it's taking this long, and we've been booked since September. I've checked our luggage tags like everyone has suggested, and nothing there either. We haven't sailed on HAL in several years, so I was wondering if this is something new that assignments are made on port day. Thanks very much for all your help.

  2. Hi folks - I'm sooo confused after reading all of the posts. While I have been on Celebrity before (in 2003), and have cruised 27 times, would you mind answering a couple of questions?

First - my father had his salivary glands removed this year due to cancer and requires a lot of water throughout the day. I know that I have read that the premium non-alcoholic package (i.e. Evian) are the larger bottles. Are the bottles of water in the classic non-alcoholic package large as well? He would like to know if he could pick up a bottle at one bar, as well as a second at another location in order to have enough for the night time when he retires to his cabin?

Second - coffees - if I get the classic alcoholic package does that include cappucino?

Second - I understand that the classic alcoholic package includes mixed drinks up to $8.00 per day. I am a bourbon and coke drinker, with some wine at dinner and an occasional Baileys on the rocks (oh and yes, a tropical drink or two poolside) - do you experts out there feel that the classic alcohol package is what I should go with?

    Thanks for clarifying...much appreciated!!

  3. What are the names of the pharmacies and do you recommend one more than the other? We're going in early January, parents spend a fortune monthly on high BP and cholesteral drugs. Can you get BP drugs such as Diovan? Additionally, everytime I've been to Mexico, I've purchased rescue inhalers for my asthma...can you get Singulair or any other asthma meds?? My asthma meds, before insurance (and thank God I have it) are $960.00 a month. If we need prescriptions, our doctors have provided them before.

    Thanks for starting this thread.
