Thanks so much for your recommendations!! My original cruise (Princess) skipped Geirangerfjord and I had heard that was one of the most beautiful places. This was a tremendous help!

We had to cancel our 15 day Princess cruise due to hubby's bad knee. We're now planning for a 7 day cruise next year. We have a choice of 3 itineraries and would GREATLY appreciate opinions on which cruise to choose based on our love for scenery rather than museums. Thanks in advance for your help!!

We were in London 5 days before our cruise and our TA was able to get us Princess transfers round trip. We just had to go to Victoria Station to pick up the bus for Southampton (they wouldn't pick up at the hotel) and after the cruise, we were taken to Gatwick airport from the ship. :)

How did you get from Heathrow to London? (We have Princess transfers from Victoria Station to Southampton and from Southampton back to Heathrow.) We're going into London a few days early, but taking the train with two huge pieces of luggage, and we're in our 70's, isn't really optimal. I;ve seen postings about the availability of private cars but they had no details about cost or reliability. I've heard the cabs are outrageous! Thanks!!

We re inexperienced cruisers. We are looking forward to a cruise to Norway in June/July of 2015 because we LOVE scenery, not as much looking at small towns. As suggested, we looked through piles of pages in this site and still have a HUGE question. We had tentatively planned on taking Princess on June 12th to Norway. However, upon checking further, apparently the boat is so huge that it cannot cruise any fjords. So, every fjord and scenic spot is an expensive additional excursion. After adding up all the $250pp excursions, the cruise is becoming prohibitively expensive, We're wondering if there is a cruise that initially seems more expensive but can actually can navigate the fjords. Advice please, especially from folks who have taken Norwegian cruises where the ship could navigate the fjords!! Thanks so much!!

We're fairly new to Cruise Critic and still learning how to navigate the boards. Did you book the train and cruise on your own in Flam or was it included in your cruise? We're taking the Caribbean Princess on June 2015 and JUST started planning excursions. Any advice you have on booking these trips if you did so? Thanks!!

We're trying to choose a Norway cruise and it's difficult. The 10 day Celebrity Eclipse cruise through Norway is not offered in 2015 and the substitutes are only 7 days or see Iceland also and miss some Norway ports. The Prisendam (only 800 passengers, which I love) North Cape cruise goes to the North Cape but at the expensive of Stavanger, Kristiansand, and Hardangerfjord. The Caribbean Princess includes these ports but has over 3000 passengers and can't see some of the fjords that smaller ships can. The Ryndam Norse Legends and Viking Saga cruise goes back to Harwich in the middle and appears to cruise the same fjord twice. I have no idea which Norwegian ports are the ones that I shouldn't miss - and is seeing the North Cape worth missing some of the more southern ports. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

This will be our first trip on Holland America, taking the Prisendam to Norway on June 13, 2015. Unlike the Princess line, where the difference between ocean view and balcony is $200, the verandahs are considerably more expensive on HA. I know that the verandah rooms are larger but is it worth $1400 pp more??? If we choose ocean view, are there decks/cabins that we should avoid due to noise/traffic, etc. We are fairly new to cruising so ANY advice on the Prisendam would be helpful and appreciated. We took the Coral Princess to Alaska five years ago and the live performances were fabulous!! Two big stage shows with dancers, piano bar all the time, more to see than we could manage. We hope to take the Caribbean Princess to Norway in June 2015 and are worried that the 14 day trip (while the scenery will be spectacular) won't have much to do in the evening? Any more comments about recent Caribbean Princess trips? Thanks!!
