I went on Oasis the first week of June. According to the lady when we checked in, the ship was "full" but imagine my surprise when on our sea days this is what the decks looked like...
Even in the Solarium, this entire area was empty for almost an hour
Obviously right next to the pools there were more people but I was always able to find 3 chairs next to each other. It was quite pleasant.
I know it's been said on CC that Oasis/Allure don't feel as crowded as their capacity would suggest but this trip was amazing. Even the promenade was easy to navigate between dinners.

Great review as usual. Your photos of the Fantasy make me excited to be on board again in 3 weeks.

Booked and paid for our Oasis cruise on Friday, for the 5/30 sailing. Called today and was given $100 OBC per room (two inside cabins). Not bad! Wouldn't have know unless I checked this thread.

First off, I'm sorry this is probably an obvious question, but I've searched and just want to get a definitive Answer.
What size are most of the taxis at the port? I've read 15 passenger (minus the driver), is that correct? Trying to arrange a large group to split costs. Thanks in advance.

Cruise Compass says Allan Brooks is the CD but the thread on here says Ken Rush. I wonder which is correct?

All checked in! Apparently the ship is full, there weren't any upgrades available. Oh well, we are going to use the money for a B2B Disney cruise in January. Safe travels to the port.

Looking forward to sharing the ship with you!

I've stayed at Cambria Suites, they included parking. I will be there Saturday night before Allure also, parking included again. Really nice place, also.

I think you made the right choice. My first RC cruise was on Liberty in a GS, and I was worried I'd be "spoiled" and never be able to cruise RC without a suite. To be honest, I was underwhelmed with the whole suite experience. The only part I thought was "worth it" was the beach on Labadee and the tour of the bridge. For $1k+ savings, I would have made the downgrade in a heartbeat. We just happened to get a great deal on the GS and took it. It was also a 5-night and I think we paid $900pp.
Congrats on the savings.

First two weeks of December are great at Disney. Light crowds, good weather, and all the decorations are up! But you still have to pay for the MVMCP fireworks/parade.

You were in my second home! (I work at MK :))
Disney vs. Royal
in Royal Caribbean International

I enjoy reading RCCL vs Disney, and have written one myself. As you can see from my signature I've done many DCL. However, thanks to previous employment by Disney (Parks), I enjoy rates significantly LOWER than Royal Caribbean.
