Okay, great.  I don't think I knew I could use my starbuck app to pay for coffee.  I thought we had to pay for it through our cruise account.

Using your Starbucks app is only for coffee at the stand alone Starbucks kiosk. If you don't have the app or a Starbucks card then it is charged to your seapass card.

Exactly! On both my last two cruises  ( Navigator and Oasis) both DW and I went to Cafe Promenade on debarkation morning and ordered a Latte.  We made no mention of Diamond drinks or anything else.  They punched the order in and then scanned the card and handed us a $0 receipt like they do with all diamond drinks. Clearly the computer was set up to accept this.  It happened without us asking and without us telling them we were diamond.  They simply handed us a drink, charged through the computer for $0.

I'd say that people being told diamond drinks aren't available debarkation morning is more the exception rather than the rule.

OK I stand corrected.  Thank you for this information.  We are booked on the Navigator on a 4B in September and a 3B in January.  I will be testing this new found information out.  Smooth seas everyone.

    Per RCI's C&A web site:

5 Each day of the cruise, Diamond members receive four (4) complimentary drink vouchers, Diamond Plus members receive five (5) complimentary drink vouchers, and Pinnacle Club members receive six (6) complimentary vouchers up to $14 in value ($13 on Singapore sailings and $15 on Australia sailings). These vouchers can be used at any time and at any bar onboard or onshore at our private destinations. Drink vouchers may also be used toward a discount off the purchase of any bottle of wine — 20% off bottles over $100 and 40% off bottles under $100. Every time a drink voucher is redeemed, a zero-dollar ($0) receipt will be provided and must be signed. Youth members will receive the same daily allotment of complimentary vouchers as their parents of the same tier and may be used toward the purchase of non-alcoholic beverages (including mocktails). All drink vouchers reset daily at 5:00am and are redeemable until 4:59am the next day. Excludes Starbucks and Bionic Bar.

Our experience on the Navigator has been vouchers are not usable on debarkation day after 5:00 am. Also we never have to sign anything to use our voucher nor are we ever given a receipt.  Not an issue for us just sharing our experience.  It was a little different on the Radiance last fall but not by much.

You may get free champagne at the art auction or the jewelry stores. Or a free bottle if y you book at next cruise. Some ships have a free liquor tasting on the first night.

We just booked 5 cruises while onboard last week with the Next Cruise Desk.  No champagne but did win the "early bird booking" drawing of $100.00 OBC.  We were happy campers.

Having been on the Navi for a weekend cruise, I don't blame them for wanting to take her out of service over Spring Break, and go into dry dock.

That weekend end was a "run and hide" scenario last year!  Crazy loud, crazy people, college students falling down drunk by 2pm on embarkation day. And the pleasant experience of watching a young woman being walked into the elevator lobby in handcuffs on debarkation day, while the authorities are searching the trash can for her drugs.

I agree not good behavior but have seen all of this on other lines and sometimes not over spring break.  We try to miss that time of year if possible.  One year a group of young, drunk male Spring Breakers were getting their picture taken by a ship's photographer.  Just as the photo was about to be   snapped the guy in front whipped out his "private part" to the shock of all those around waiting in line.  The photographer somehow knew what was coming and took the photo from above the waist.  After the photo I strolled over to the group and told the young, drunk man to "put that thing away until it grows up"!!  His buddies really gave him the business and he wasn't so smug with his red face then.  I was much younger and braver then.  lol

There'll just be a blank spot in the schedule from Feb 16th until Apr 12th.  Every other ship in the fleet is fully scheduled.

Thank you.  It is a shame that they will once again leave the West Coast hanging.  However good time to try another line I guess.

You can have mine. You can have all my tote bags, too, and all the towel animals, strawberries, cupcakes and other things I have to ask to have cancelled.  I really don't want Things.

I will take a tote bag or two.  I love all kikes of bags.

The Captain told us last week that she will be dry docked in Singapore. At least I THINK that’s what he said.  He has a Swedish accent and I didn’t always hear him.

Thank you did he say if they are bringing in another ship or just no RC sailings out of San Pedro for 6 weeks?

We find out what our Room Attendant likes to drink and get those with our extra at the end of the night...
If bottled beer, my understanding is you have to hand it to them, not leave it behind,
You can share the vouchers with anyone, it is not like the drink package that you can not share.

We are not big drinkers so we get a few Pelos for me and sodas for DH to keep in the stateroom and then....

We use our "left at the end of the night" vouchers to get drinks for our cabin steward.  We ask them what they like and load them up.  We designate a drawer for them and they know that they can take whatever is in that drawer at anytime.  Many of them have taken a few at a time when cleaning stateroom.  They say that is easier than trying to take a bunch at the end.  Everyone is happy by end of the sailing.

We just got off Navigator yesterday.  Department heads put in their wish lists two weeks ago, but haven't gotten results yet.  They are going to Singapore for 6 weeks.  Different opinions if they will have any passengers on board.  The crew members we talked to were pretty excited about the journey.

We earned more credits, not sure if going Jan, Feb or May.  Already booked for this Sept.

We board Sept 18th.  Really looking forward to it.

  11. Thank you to everyone for your responses.  I think folks are right about the dry dock.  Sad that there is no RC ship out of San Pedro the entire month March.  Thinking maybe of Feb but concerned what things will be like just before going into dry dock.  Or April just coming out of dry dock.

Anyone have experiences to share on those thoughts?  We are also looking at New Orleans as they are bringing a ship back there starting Oct of 2024.  We always enjoy our time in that city so would be perfect for us.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

HaHa...Won't be on her specifically until Feb 2025. Was just on her in January and skipping her in 2024. But will be on Liberty this October and Explorer, Icon, Jewel in 2024.

I'm serious..I would have no problem mailing them to you.

Sorry I have been off the computer fighting"Acute URI".  I still have some lingering effects.  Your offer is so kind but I would not want to post my address here.  I truly hope that we get to meet on a sailing as soon sound like such a nice person.

  13. We did a B2B for 11 nights last month on the Navigator.  We are D+ and were in a Suite.  We got the plate of left over cookies and the next day a plate with 4 piece of not too fresh fruit, that was it for 2 cruises.  The LA sent notice on first day that that no towels or totes were available.  So we went with wine.  Finally got the one for the 7 night on night 6 and the one for the 4 night on night 3 and that was after repeated request by us and the Suite Concierge.  We bring the wine home and share but really wanted one of the other items especially the bag.  Maybe it will be better in September. lol

RCI has plenty of beach towels and tote bags. Since my first sailing this past January and my most recent one two weeks ago....so 7 total cruises to date. I have 8 tote bags and 10 beach towels...Yikes! I even have tried going to the LA onboard but that made no difference...they continue to give me what they have onboard.

And yet we try so hard to get these items and cannot.  They just must like you better.  lol  Enjoy

While I have not sailed Glory, it is worth noting that she is one of the Conquest class ships that do NOT have a Red Frog Pub.

Never heard of the Red Frog Pub so not sure if I would miss it.  lol

  16. Yes we have sailed on Carnival but not these ships.  I totally agree if one is looking for issues they will find them on any line.  If one is looking to enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just to enjoy letting some else do the work then they should have fun.  We are the second group here.  lol  Thank you for your responses and input

    That’s unusual.

The machines are broken regularly but we have always been given either a paper card or coffee loaded on our seapass card which we have shown at the coffee shop. I am surprised this wasn’t offered on your sailing and that the coffee venue didn’t know when they swiped your card.

It is bad enough that the Diamond lounge concierge didn’t tell you but I would certainly have had something to say if I had paid for a suite and no provisions were made.

Thank you.  I probably would have handled it differently if I hadn't had my vouchers to use.  I got by but we are booked on a a 4B for 18 nights come Sept and based on feed back here I will handle it differently if they are broken again.

  18. We are thinking of going to New Orleans and thought maybe a cruise out of there would be fun.  We are typically Royal Caribbean folks but they no longer sail from that port.  We have sailed Carnival in the past but neither of these ships.  Looking for some input about which might be better. Even considering a B2B.  Looking forward to hearing from folks.

I really don't believe they were wearing bathing suits around on Navigator recently. It has been freezing cold, with snow and rain. Nice story, but my apologies, I don't really buy it. Bathrobes, maybe. But not bathing suits.

You don't have to buy it but doesn't change the fact that it was a true happening. Really it snowed on the Navigator when you were onboard?  Wow that must have had everyone out watching it snow.
