So were there any updates to the cabins during dry dock........new carpet, furniture, mattress, etc.?
-
We had the same thing happen to us. When I called EZ-Air they told me to call the airlines since they were the ones who changed the flight. When I called the airlines, they said they could not help me, and I needed to contact the travel agency who booked the tickets (EZ-Air). With these changes, we missed our connection in Dallas, so I called EZ-Air once again. They told me I should work with the airlines for a new flight. Not a great experience just to save a few dollars on the cost of the tickets

Agree! They know ahead of time they will not be stopping there, but we were not notified until the day before. Grand Cayman was replaced with Princess Cays.

Thank you. I'll set up a separate email account for him.

I have purchased separate COVID self tests from the Princess website for both of us. However, can I use the Navica app on my phone to set up both profiles for my husband and myself, so he doesn't have to install the app on his phone along with another passcode? If it's not possible to have both Profiles on the same app, will he need to set up his account using a different e-mail address, or can we both use the same e-mail account?

Since these are the only two stops on this five day cruise, will this now be a five day sea day cruise, or does Princess change the route to other ports?
-
Yes, I checked and we will be changing planes AND concourses. We'll be flying to Dallas on a small plane and to Ft Lauderdale on a larger plane.
-
We have already made payment, and our flight is in three weeks.
-
We purchased our flights through E-Z air, and we recently received a change with our original flight. Our layover is now 35 minutes in Dallas rather than 2 1/2 hours. We are pretty sure we will miss our connecting flight to Ft. Lauderdale. I called E-Z air and asked if we could change our connecting flight to later in the day. I was told the only option would be to cancel the entire flight and rebook with a new flight at a much higher price than what we originally paid months ago. They told me to also check with the airline since they were the ones who made the change. The airline informed me there was nothing they could do since it was booked through a travel agency (E-Z air). So is my only option to hope for the best, and if I miss my connecting flight, then deal with the stress of finding another flight and waiting in the airport?.............not a great way to start a vacation. Hopefully someone has had a similar experience????

Hopefully someone will respond and tell us it's possible to re-fare with the different code and remove the Wi-Fi and save some money! 🙂

I have booked a cruise for August 2020 with the BEST3 offer. However, we already receive free internet minutes with our status. Do you know if it's possible to re -fare with the BEST2DG code? We would save $140 on a seven day cruise.

Emerald Deck--E503 & E505

We are considering booking an ocean view obstructed room on the Emerald, and I see the room we want accommodates and third and fourth person. Does anyone know if these beds fold up on the wall (and we'll bump in to them), or do they fold up into the ceiling?

I totally agree about the price Royal Caribbean charges for water. We always buy the 12 pack of water when cruising with Princess. It's delivered to our room with no problems. We drank the water on the ship, and it was fine, but sometimes I prefer a bottle so it doesn't spill. If Royal Caribbean wants to pay two employees to write us a receipt for the water, wrap the six pack with tape, store it during the cruise, and then have cabin stewards deliver to the room the last night, I guess they think that must be cost effective. I could understand if it was a $50 bottle of alcohol, but I guess rules are rules.

I thought I would let every one know that Royal Caribbean is enforcing their beverage rule. I carried a 12 pack of Mt. Dew in my carryon and went through Security in Miami with no problem. My husband was right behind me, and he had a six pack of bottled water. They confiscated the water since we were only allowed 12 bottles per room. The water was delivered to our cabin the last night of the cruise. I know they have rules, but I thought it was silly taking a $1.00 six pack of water we purchased at the Dollar Tree.

We had an ocean view balcony on Deck 6 right above the Café Promenade.

We also just got off the Mariner on Friday. The ship looks great, but I will also have to agree with the frustrations of the elevators. I don't understand why two of the elevators were not working during the entire cruise. I think the pictures of the long lines for pizza were immediately after everyone returned from a day at Coco Cay. That was another complaint of several cruisers........they close the Windjammer from 5:00-6:00 p.m., so there is no other place to go for snacks after a long day in Nassau or Coco Cay. We ate in the Windjammer for several meals, and I must say there wasn't much of a variety. The same food was served EVERY night.....hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fish bites, spaghetti or noodles with alfredo or tomato sauce, flank steak, and French fries. Now for the best part of the cruise......the Mariner is really a great ship since it came out of dry dock. The ice skating show was very well attended. We saw two of the evening performances in the Theatre....the Magic of Puck and the last night was a Variety show with singers and dancers. Normally the Theatre is full 15 minutes before the show starts, but this was never the case on the Mariner. There were plenty of empty seats. Their show times are 8:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m., so that may have something to do with the low attendance. Other cruise lines have their shows at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. Overall, this was a great cruise to take for a quick get away, and I wouldn't hesitate to sail on the Mariner again.

We were a party of four, and two of them got very sick the final night of our cruise. It started around 7:30 p.m., and they were sick until 5:00 a.m. Later in the afternoon they were feeling much better. The other two in our party did not get sick. We are assuming it must have been food poisoning since they recovered so quickly. Just wondering if anyone else was sick on this cruise.

We just returned from the Crown on Friday........no new mattress on the Caribe deck, and they definitely need to be replaced!!!
-
We have booked a car with Alamo in Miami and will return the car at the Alamo Port Everglades office at 1700 Eller Drive. We were informed they have a shuttle to the port. It looks like it may be a mile to the port.
-
We will be sailing on the Crown Princess for the 5-night Eastern Caribbean. Is lobster or crab legs served in the main dining room on formal night? If it's just prime rib or shrimp, I think we'll skip the dress clothes this cruise and just eat the buffet that night.
-
We are also renting our car in Miami and returning it at the Alamo Port Everglades location on Eller Drive. Do you know if they have a shuttle to the port, or will I need to take a taxi?

Thanks everyone. I agree with DaveKathy.......the OBC is nice, but recognizing and thanking our Veterans for their service is more important.
-
We just called in to see if they offered OBC for anyone who has served in the military. They said it had to be part of the promotion when we booked the cruise. Is this correct? Whenever we book with Princess, it's an automatic $100 OBC with every cruise!!! We scanned in the certificate, and it's automatic with every Princess cruise.

I also leave in 14 days, so I finally booked my shuttle to the pier. When I finally receive my boarding time, and it doesn't agree with the time the shuttle drops is off.............oh well!!
