    If you drive try Trinityreservations.com

    TonyO,

Thanks for the heads up on TrinityReservations.com.  I have bookmarked the site (after looking it over) and will definitely keep it in mind for the future.  In the meantime, I am quite satisfied with the reservations that I have made with Hampton Inn in Glen Burnie (including the extra nights).

That was very kind of you to explain that for the curious among us.  :classic_biggrin:

What a clever way to break up that long drive!   I hope you have a very wonderful trip!

Thank you. We are looking forward to it.

One thing to confirm is to make sure they are OK with your leaving your car for 27 days from a one night stay.

I know when I have done stay and park at airport hotels, they give you X days per night stayed at the hotel.  After that, they charge.

Both properties indicated that as long as they had advance information, they could work with the extended time.  One of them did ask for additional cost for the extra nights, while the other did not.

I was wondering about driving from Florida to board a ship in Baltimore too.  As you said, in addition to the weather issues, there are so many more choices of ships in Florida.  Perhaps it's because they are doing a B2B2B?  Maybe something special about that they could not do out of Florida?  I hope so!

Perhaps a bit of additional information can clear up the curiosity about driving from Florida to board a ship in Baltimore.

You see we are actually heading from Florida to New York. and we have decided to break up the drive by taking a cruise.  Originally we were just doing the 12 night cruise, but with such good pricing on the 6 and 9 night cruises in front of it, we decided to stay on for a total of 27 days.  Yes, that mean we leave Florida on March 20 and arrive in NY on April 18.  Not exactly the fastest trip, but certainly it should be an enjoyable one!

Thanks for the information.  We appreciate the responses.

  5. I am looking for some information from others who have used a Park, Sleep, & Cruise package in the Baltimore area.

First some details.  We are doing a B3B on the Grandeur in March-April of 2019 (totaling 27 days).  We are driving up from FL and are planning on staying overnight before the cruise and leaving the car for the balance of the time.

We have an offers from the Best Western Plus on O'Donnell Street in Baltimore and also from the Hampton Inn in Glen Burnie.

    Questions:

Has anyone stayed at either of these properties?

Do you recommend one over the other?

    Any other thoughts?

    Thanks for your help!

    Roger

  6. Does anyone know of anyone that has gone a cruise during this site debacle that has had to show up at the pier without printed documents? What have they gone through and what do the pier counters look like with this mess?

Excellent question as I would like to know the answer too. We are scheduled to board the Freedom in a week and a half so at the rate they are progressing, I see this problem still here when we go. So I will report back, take pictures at the loyalty desk, customer service, and both Diamond and D+ lounges.

    For what it is worth....

I have a friend who worked at the Tampa Terminal 3 on Monday. And this is the form that they gave to those without a SetSail Pass printed.

As a help, I am attaching a copy of that form here. If you don't have the SetSail Pass, this could be a help for you.

    RCCL Guest Clearance Information Form.pdf

As a note, this form used to be included as part of the Guest Travel Document Booklet that RCCL used to mail out.

    Hope this helps.

  7. Travel agent said you don't have to check in and just show up at the port as they have your name. Doesn't sound like it would work? Anyone with experience of showing up at the port without checking in first?

Nope at the window they ask for set sail

    Pass

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

A Port Agent told me that they can look up everything needed to check you in at the window - just plan for it to take much longer than if you had done, or been able to complete, it prior to arriving at the port to check-in.

  8. I do hope their IT people know there are ways to import into the new db while keeping at least a copy of the old available. It's not an either/or if they know what they are doing.

My concern is that we, the users, know that it's not a 'either/or' situation, but right now I, and it seems like many on this thread, have very little confidence that the RCCL IT people have a clue to what they are doing. It certainly does not appear that any beta testing was done.

If there was beta testing done, it must have been done with sterile data and couldn't fail!

  9.

Does this mean the sites will be sharing bugs?

If my experience so far is any example, if they are not sharing 'bugs', they are SURE NOT showing any programming ability!

What I have seen is an extreme lack of any functionality testing before being rolled out!

And the responses I got from calling was their usual; "Please give it some time and try it again in 24 hours."

And it still is as dysfunctional as before!

    Roger
