Hello, on the sailing of Decc 27th, 2013 it is no longer called Punchliner Brunch but not Sea Day Brunch and the time is 8:30am to 1pm. Carnival is no longer doing Punchliner fleet wide. :)

  2. Just curious..Where did they hold the muster drill since its cold out?

Also, Did you have any rough/ rocky seas?

    We sail her next month.

    Thanks

My cruise on Splendor ended yesterday. I was in muster group A which was held on the outside deck forward in the cold. There was a lot of wind. Everyone was told to dress warmly.

Cruise was 8 days, the last part of sea day 1 and all of sea day 2 were rocky. On the return bags were put out on day 7 and 8 as the ship had lots of movement.

Not to hijack this review Splendor is really very understaffed for a holiday cruise.

  3. Hey everyone -

We have had some major problems with our reservation and am going in circles with our reservation agent and his supervisor, apparently they are always on vacation.

Does anyone have a good contact email to try and get resolution at Carnival? For what its worth, this is our 6th Carnival cruise and we are shareholders, but we are going nuts trying to get resolution here.

    Thanks!

Hello Juliee, you can reach them at cclsupport@carnival.com.

  4. DH has always wanted a wrap around. So, I called my PVP and we talked. Decided on the Breeze and she told me she wanted to look at something...okay, she comes back on and said, I can get you aft wrap 9475 for about the same price as a regular balcony on the Breeze (oh it might have been about less than $5/day total).

Now I have searched on here and I have heard that 9475 (as well as 9472) do not have a sofa....no big deal.....

My question is....why are these two rooms on the 9th deck less than the regular wrap arounds? Anyone stayed in these rooms? Is the balcony smaller than the other wraps?

    Thanks for your responses.

I have stayed in cabin 9472 on the first sailing (photos are on cruise line rooms dot com under the Magic, Breeze was not on the site when I sailed). This cabin is priced as a regular balcony not premuim. The crew stair case cuts in to the room a bit and there is a crew door on the balcony. These two cabins on the Magic, Dream and Breeze are treated in the same way. You do hear the occasional chair scraping but it is not horrible. I had no soot on the balcony and would not hestitate to stay in that cabin again.

  5. The towel station was open and a few people were wrapping up in those to keep warm. It would be perfect if they had light blankets instead. Did I mention they serve free popcorn? I wasn’t expecting to get a movie date on this cruise! haha :p

The do actually have those blankets. They might not have brought them out on that night. I was on the Breeze this past Dec and we had lots of late night lido nights.

  6. Thanks for letting me know. I used to get mailers from Coach' date=' but haven't received one in quite some time. I may have had the website, but don't recall...but I will definitely find out what it is from an associate. Thanks for the heads up!!!!![/quote']

You are welcome. The sales typically last 24 to 48 hours. It is new arrivals for the store to soft sell. Today's sale is 70% off. I am attaching one of the bags, seems next season will be lots of animal prints. Not my style but they do have the coach standards there too.

  7. Thank you so much for your review. I will be on the Dream in 11 days for the first time.

I normally remove all of the items in the fridge and place in the night stands. Nothing else really fits in there. Also, room service has a really great cheesecake (at least on the Breeze and Magic).

After only sailing on CCL until this Dec when I will try NCL I am really happy to see a very balanced comparasion; thanks again for taking the time to do this!

    Ruth

  8. So far, this has been my most memorable waiter team. Martina, and her boys. Martina is from Czech Republic, Srdjan and Jovan from Serbia. We've known each other, on the Carnival Magic, a total of 37 nights. They are not only great waiters but they're SUPER friendly and fun. Did I mention that Martina has incredible BLUE eyes? :D

Martina is awesome! I was with her on the Breeze.

  9. Hi Ruth, I'm also booked in 9472 and was wondering whether you have pictures of the cabin?

Also, is it REALLY small inside like some folks claim? Thanks!

    Hi Ruth,

We're also booked in this cabin on the 2nd August cruise. Would be interested to hear what you thought of the cabin.

    Pam.

Sorry for the delay in responding. The cabin is sufficient for two people. Lots of closet space and a little area by the door that allows to keep the luggage out of the way. There was some noise in the very early morning when chairs were being put out. It does not get as hot as other wraps since the over hang comes over quite a bit.

  10. The ones with a couch are for 3 persons and the one with a chair, 2 people. We were booked in one with a chair but quickly switched to a 3 person (couch) on the Freedom last year with only 2 guests and that's how it was explained. If you look at the deck plan it will show you which have the couches.

I was on the Breeze in cabin 9472 it is a 'aft-wrap' technically but not a premium balcony. You can book 9472 and 9475 as a regular balcony. Staff stair case takes some room from the cabin. These cabins do not have chairs or sofas in the cabin, yet it does have a chaise, two chairs and little table on the balcony.

The cabins color schemes are much more relaxing than other carnival ships. A great deal of the ship came down with a version of the flu. Nasty cough and headaches. I am sure several reviews will be coming shortly but time to catch up on work now.

    Have a good day, Ruth
