We are flying in to Ft. Lauderdale the morning before our cruise. That leaves our family with three teenagers a full afternoon and evening to explore. Since our cruise stops are mostly beaches, we are looking for something to do other than a beach in Ft. Lauderdale. We will have a rental car available.
Thanks for any ideas!

My parents are finally taking their first cruise!
Wondering how readily available cold water and lemonade are on board. Do they have self serve stations or do they ask at the bar? Will there be bottled water for purchase in their room or elsewhere?
Many thanks!

Is this for ships visiting Port Canaveral as a port stop or those originating from Port Canaveral? Will I be able to walk to Jetty Park from here?
Thanks!!

I thought I read Jetty Park would be within walking distance since port visiting ships dock to the side there. Anyone know about this?
Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I was hoping to hear sushi would be in the Windjammer since we hadn't planned on specialty dining this trip.
Thanks!

Looking forward to an upcoming 8 day on Grandeur.
We are interested to know if they have sushi available. Where and when would that be?
Thanks!

I thought Sea Grape was the public beach.
Please help me understand where Sea Grape, Calico Jack's, and the "Public Beach" are in relation to one another.
We are looking for a quiet sand beach. Aside from a bathroom, we don't really need much else.
Thanks!
Afternoon/Evening in Ft. Lauderdale with Teens, Ideas?

Thanks! We will be there in August.
Current thinking is either Flamingo Gardens or the Jungle Queen afternoon cruise.
Perhaps a casual meal at either Gilberts or Laspadas and dessert at Jaxson's will keep the crew happy and full.
