It could just take a lot more learning than I am willing to give, but I wanted to book a shore excursion. It is SO EASY on another cruise line that I often use. Here I have to go in through my husband's login, use his credit card to prepay. I just gave up.

Without a doubt HAL has worst website, not only among cruise lines but generally as well.

She does private tours and you need to wait a couple of days for her reply. Her tours are very very interesting and she is the only person on the island certified to guide such a tour.

Took her tour about 2 or 3 years ago..was fantastic...saw lots i had not expected like old cemetery where she explained all the difft tombstones..fascinating

I am not an alarmist. Notwithstanding, I am totally baffled by the lackadaisical attitude taken by most posters. Figures announced today put the number of cases in the Caribbean at over a million and soaring. I understand why cruise lines and resorts would prefer this matter not make headlines. I cannot understand why, given the horrible consequences of being bitten, posts talk about it not being fatal (though I am told you might wish it was), people never seeing a mosquito (last i heard they are pretty tiny) and, my favorite..live and be happy and just bring bug spray.

I am scheduled to go to Caribbean in January. I have not allowed myself to become overly cautious -- but it is getting worse..much worse. There are vacation options. Cancelling the cruise would not mean I need to hide under the bed and lock my windows and doors, as some here imply is the alternative.

I booked a carmel tour with the above named company but have heard nothing from them. I also have been unable to contact them using their 800 number. Are these guys legit? are they in operation?
