  1. I'm not a local but we did visit San Francisco last year as tourists. I think if you don't stray too far from the main drag you will be fine. The thing that most struck me was the number of homeless people on the streets, even in London I've never see this many people living on the streets.

We used local buses and taxi's and walked miles.

  2. We did this trip through the ship a couple of years ago. The weather was bad, rain most of the day. The walking was ok but the boat trips between each village were awful. The boats used on our trip were publice service boats not boats that are dedicated to your trip. We were very concerned about safety, there was no safety anouncement on any of the boats and some just had plastic picnic chairs to sit on. People were being sick and thrown about by the heavy seas!

We complained about the safety aspect and got our money refunded. The tour guide wasn't particularly impressive either. One of her comments was "I'm not sure wether we can complete this trip and if we do I'm not sure we can get you back to the ship". Great start!!

  3. We had B748 in 2010, it's a lovely cabin, very quiet with a huge balcony (it's a corner cabin, so cabin is normal size but you gain extra room on the balcony). The cabin next door has a beam through the middle and is classed as obstructed view, but didn't look to bad when we peered round the corner!

The only slight down-side is it's a long walk from the lifts.
