  1. My family will be on the July 9 sailing of Symphony of the Seas.  Perfect Day at Coco Cay is the very first full day.  Typically, I believe the first formal night would be that evening.  But since it's Coco Cay, would that change things?  Also, isn't the night-before-last typically the 2nd formal night?  I would appreciate any help you can give!

  2. Ex techie, I have looked at those deck plans, a lot. If the individual cabin capacity is indicated there, I sure can't find it. On other cruise lines, there has always been a "key" that has allowed me to know individual cabin capacity.

cb at sea, I'm with Shmoo......please tell me where you are finding this. Everything I see is just giving a range within a category.

cruisefamilyforever, I don't care about the configuration at all, just capacity. I want the family of 4 to be able to sleep together in one cabin. Ok, the small dark triangles: I think they are only on the connecting cabins and the points of triangles face each other, indicating which 2 cabins connect. The cabins that I have been told by Disney only sleep 3 each have those triangles, too.

So strange. Would like to know why they make it so hard.....I've really gotten frustrated today trying to get the cabin situation worked out.

My thanks to all of you again for your help! Such a great group of folks here!

  3. Shmoo, you are absolutely correct! I am traveling solo, so I booked one of the children with me. It was full disclosure......TA knew I was doing this. So Disney didn't do anything wrong by allowing the booking.

I was just hoping that I could see which cabins would accommodate this, instead of having so much back and forth. I admit I'm picky about my cabin selection, so this may take awhile!

    Thanks for all the replies!

  4. Is there a deck plan anywhere that will tell you how many people a specific cabin will sleep on the Disney Dream? The category I have booked says that the cabins sleep 3 or 4. I need one of the cabins to sleep 4, and have just found out through my TA that both connecting cabins I currently have booked only sleep 3.

I want to look for cabins, but can't find this information on the deck plans anywhere. If anyone can help, I would be most appreciative!

  5. On February 28, I submitted a request for a lower rate for the 4 cabins I have booked. The rate on the Celebrity website had gone down almost $1,000 on each cabin from my booking in January. I did not even receive an automated response.

Having not heard back from Celebrity by March 7 (and no change on my reservation on-line), I called and talked to someone who couldn't even understand what I was asking. That call was beyond frustrating. I tried a few more times to call and just gave up because of the long wait. After 30 minutes I was out! And final payment date of March 30 was fast approaching.

Host Andy, I am so glad that I saw this thread and your suggestion to call Captain's Club. I never would have thought about that. I waited on hold maybe 5 minutes and talked with the nicest lady. Within 15 minutes I had my rate reduction.....$4,000 total! And, yes, I stayed on the phone with her until I received all 4 confirmations. That's a great idea.

Today I called Captain's Club again to make the final payment. The guy I talked to wasn't quite as experienced it seemed, but very nice and managed to save me $20 more on my cabin. Hey, I'll take it!

Thank you again, for the help. CC has been invaluable to me!
