  1. Does anyone know if Benia's Bellyful cooking class is still operating? We don't get into port until noon so we can't attend the other cooking class. I tried calling the toll free number for Bellyful but it has been disconnected. Thanks!:)

  2. I am looking for the cooking class on the beach. Not the walking tour. But there seems to be some confusion with what I am reading. It seems like either one person owns more than one cooking on the beach school or names have changed or they went out of business.

On Trip Advisor two people posted they were stood up by one of these companies. This is what I found:

So, does anyone know anything about these classes? Who is who, what is what and are they still in business??

    Thanks for your help!

  3. We have Cabin 12106 (Forward Haven Penthouse-S7) and I am a bit concerned because when we had a forward cabin on one of our other cruises it was extremely windy on the balcony. They even had a sign posted in the cabin stating we could not open the balcony door while the ship was moving.

I cannot find any pictures or drawings of this cabin. From what I can tell there is some sort of roof over the balcony and that means no sun for me!:( Also, I thought I read somewhere there is a side AND front balcony on these cabins.

I would appreciate any input you may have on this particular type of cabin. I'm thinking of looking into a corner AFT penthouse instead. Thanx:)

  4. My husband and I will be in Nassau in September and we are looking for something out of the ordinary to do since we have been there so many times. I was thinking of possibly getting a flight and going to another island. I don't even know which island to choose along with which airline. Has anyone done this on their own? If you have any other suggestions for a unique Nassau excursion your ideas are greatly appreciated!:)

  5. Yes, you can book on the pier. I booked with him and sent the deposit because I wanted him to be our guide! He said he will only guarantee that he will be our guide if we prepay our deposit. He is very well known and is respected in Guatemala. It's up to you. I read so many great things about his tour and nothing negative so I know he will take good care of us.

I wanted to make sure I was reserved on this tour because I really wanted to do it. I figured, if you wait to book at the pier they may be booked up and may miss this opportunity. At least now, I know I am booked and will have Gus for our guide and not anyone else. But I am a planner and like to have all my "ducks in a row" so I can sit back and relax on my cruise.

Hope that helps. Just my opinion. You do what you feel is best for you.;)

  6. Hmm. I think you should try again. From reading this forum it seems the internet does not always work in Guatamala.

    Read this post:

I am taking this tour in December. I got a little spooked when I noticed everyone looking for Gus........so I emailed him. He responded within a few hours. This is his response.........

The electricity is pretty bad and sometimes I don´t receive the email inquiries. If you have a chance, please answer one of the question from cruisecritic, let everyone know that I have replied to you and that Go With Gus is getting ready for the next Cruise Season.

Just FYI the email address I used was eldelfin@turcios.com

I hope you hear from him. I also used another email that he responded to. I will have to see if I can find that. But I think he prefers the one above.

  7. Who is Gus and what tour are you booking? Sorry, I'm new to all this but I did read something somewhere about a tour where you meet with the children. Can someone please explain? I need to find something to do in Guatemala. Thank you.:)
