O.... We all have to get a hotel room and pay to eat, why should the person with the balcony room or mini-suite get more per diem than I? That part seems strange.
Because they paid more per day for the cruise and are entitled to get 1/7th of their money refunded back too.

And it's nice to know, that in this big bad world of ours, we are in the hands of people who don't second guess for a minute that a million dollar expense is worth it to save a life :D

IMPORTANT NOTICES
CROWN PRINCESS - EMBARKATION DELAY
Please be advised that Crown Princess' return to the Port of Los Angeles has been delayed due to an extreme medical emergency. Embarkation
for your cruise will now occur on Sunday, November 16. Out-of-town guests with independent air should either reschedule their flights, or
arrange for accommodation for one night in Los Angeles. All guests will receive a one-day per diem in recognition of the missed cruise day and
to offset any extra expenses incurred. Due to the delayed departure, we will no longer call to Puerto Vallarta on Tuesday, November 18. In light
of the revised itinerary, all guests will receive a refundable credit of $50 per person applied to your onboard folio, as well as a Future Cruise
Credit of 20% of the cruise fare paid, which can be used on any future Princess cruise booked before the end of 2015. Please disregard the
attached itinerary, which does not yet reflect these changes.
Additional embarkation time details will be provided as they become available. We look forward to welcoming you aboard Crown Princess.
Thank you for your attention to this notification.

In short, there is no 'decision' to be made or anyone at 'fault'. It just is.
Well said, and I consider myself privileged to experience such 'first world problems' that are all a part of the adventures of travel :D

Possible, yet Cabo is right on the way. While Cabo still has a long way to go in recovery, 2 weeks ago the majority of the usual tourist shopping and excursions were going as usual. As far as the hotels and resorts, only a limited number of guests around. Of course, no one knows what Princess will actually do until we receive their email with an updated itinerary.
And of course our tourist 'spend' will help them along in financial recovery :)
Yes, they need us more than the other ports. I vote for not skipping Cabo.

It's about 340 miles between Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. Your guess is probably correct. Good chance either Puerto Vallarta or Mazatlan port stops will be affected.
If they can reschedule, they might ditch Cabo since it's still in a state of repair/recovery???

I'm not sure why it isn't a Princess problem? It's not the fault of the passengers waiting for the ship to arrive.
It's definitely a problem for them trying to keep everyone happy in such situations, That's why cruise lines also have insurance !
They'll do their best to sort and help etc, but there will always be a few who'll want far more. There was a cancelled Princess cruise out of Australia earlier this year. They got all their money back plus the equivalent for another cruise and a bit extra. Still people jumped up and down on TV current affairs shows because their holiday was stuffed! At least they get to take another...........

Hi there - the website is Gallipoli Cruise 2015.

I've no 'angst' to filter out so I'm already in supa dupa cruise mode and having fun now the packing's done, and we still don't leave Australia for another 19 hours. Not really looking forward to having to hear all the complaining on the ship, should pack the ear plugs .
