Will the ship supply a fan to help cool the room, if neccesary?

Sailing on Eclipse 11/27 - 12/10 while expecting an email at my home server some time during this period. Would I need to sign up for internet for the whole cruise or is there another way that i could know if the email had arrived?

How would I request a handicapped stateroom on the Koningsdam? Does it need to be requested by a travel agent and are there any on a lower deck, which, at least by one post, is less subject to vibrations?

Thanks for all the pictures. I now have Parkinson's disease and suffer from balance problems. A few questions. Do the steps in the pool have a banister or something else to hold on to to get me all the way down? I see a lifting device, but would rather make it on my own. In the World Stage, is it possible to enter with a rollator to the first rows? Are the chaises by the pool easy to get up from?

Do I need to order prepackaged kosher meal in advance of sailing on Euradam or Neiuw amsterdam? If so, how do I do it?

I like to sleep on a firm pillow. Can I count on it or should I bring my own?

Is the lawn club accessible for a rollator or a tripod cane?

We booked an inside cabin. Would that be more likely to stay cool? And, also, would bringing a fan be a good idea or would they have fans available?

I'm hoping there is a range within the cold to hot settings.

I tried posting this before, but it didn't work.. So here goes again with slight modifications. We are sailing on the Equinox on March 25. We like to set the a/c at 65 to 70 degrees at night and 75 in the daytime. Is this achievable?

With the new smart chic replacing formal nights, will they allow men to enter the mdr for dinner with no jacket?

I have balance issues due to Parkinson's. Does anyone have any experience with any of these aids for balance on a cruise?

You had to stand in line for shows? Couldn't you just enter from Plaza Deck and be seated up front for the first show if you just got there about 6:45?
-
On HAL Eurodam,, it was possible to enter the theatre through the lower of the two decks and, thereby, go directly to the first row. The diagram of the Equinox looks like it would be set up the same way, thereby not requiring steps. Does anyone have firsthand knowledge of whether or not this is the situation?

May I bring a rollator to my table in MDR and to my seat in the first row of show room?
-
Would getting to the show early and sitting at the end of the first row work as well as sitting in the last row?

Could they order for me?

My family wants to eat dinner at 7:45 and I want to see the 7:00 show. Do I have enough time to walk from the show to dinner if I get to the dining room just a few minutes late?

Thank you.

Since I do not require a wheelchair, but get by with just a cane, I'm not sure that I would qualify for a handicapped room. One solution might be to get a cabin on Plaza Deck. One website says that those cabins are directly above the motor and would be subject to vibrations. Is that true? We might be able to qualify for a handicapped room for my wife, who also walks just with a cane, but due to sever arthritis in her knees, has to sleep with her legs elevated and sleeps in a recliner. Would a handicapped room help her? Also, my medical condition requires me to sleep in a cold room. Have there been any problems with the a/c in any of the cabins?

We usually sail on a mid-size ship like the Eurodam, but my family is sailing on the Equinox in March and asked us to join them. We prefer an inside cabin that would be as low as possible, which I believe is steadier. There are cabins on deck 3, which might be available on a guarantee. Would that make sense or would decks 7, 8 or 9 be as good? I should add that I now have been diagnosed with Parkinson's, but get by with a cane and do not need a wheelchair. I could request a handicapped cabin, but do not know if I would qualify.Any advice?

How do you handle the life boat drill when they don't let you use the elevators?

Can I use the rollator to get on and off the ship and into and out of the hot tubs?

Are the seas from Ft. Lauderdale to Panama in December likely to be rough? My primary concern with Parkinson's are balance and fear of falling.

Planning to sail on Eclipse November 27 and wanted to take taxis for shore excursions, but need to accommodate a rollator. Would this be practical?
