I already purchased travel insurance from Carnival for cruises in November. I just checked Travelguard and it is a little more than 1/2 the price. Would I be able to cancel Carnival's insurance?

RCMP from most of New Brunswick are involved in the search, as well as their Tactical team from Nova Scotia. Municipal police (ERT officers) from Saint John and Fredericton are also on scene, municipal officers who are not in Moncton are covering RCMP territories in their nearby outlying areas.

I am listening to the calls and they have not located this person yet, praying that this is over soon :(

Hi, I will be sailing solo on both cruises. I did a solo cruise in 2010 on the Victory and had a wonderful time and met sisters from New Jersey, who I still keep in touch with and who took a cruise to Canada, I met them and we spent the day together.

Hi, in 2010 I went solo on the Victory out of San Juan and had a wonderful time. I had many reservations about going but am so glad I did. If you eat in the dining room they sit you with other solo cruisers (at least they did then) and I met some great people from New Jersey (I am from NB, Canada). They actually did a cruise to Saint John a year later and I met them and we had a great day.

Anyway, lol, I am now booked on two cruises (great deal I just couldn't resist). I will be going on the Sunshine on November 8th and on the Liberty on the 15th. I hope you go because I'm sure you'll have a blast!

I have been trying to figure out when my first cruise was and it was on board the Caribe! I have no idea whether it was Caribe or CaribeI. What I do remember is it was a small ship compared to the ones since.

I remember being very ill the first night (I remember begging my friends to just hire a helicoptor and get me off) and that we could not dock the last day because it was too rough, we all sat in common areas waiting and trying not to get sick, lol. However, I enjoyed the entertainment and the food was great. I also remember that bingo went all night while the dance club closed early. I was probably around 24 or so at the time and there were not a lot of passengers that were around the same age other than the ones I was with and a handful or so more. There was a family from Winnipeg, Manitoba on board - mom, dad and their teenage/twenty something children.

All in all (other than the first night) I totally enjoyed my first cruise experience.
