  1. We see that their attitude has not change.

We don't know any travel agent because we have always done the bookings on our own. We have never had a problem with a reservation, but leave it to MSC to be the first one. 🙂

This travel agency that gives Marriott points was good, we may try them again.

Thank you for your replies and sharing your experience with us.

  2. Has anyone reserved with a travel agency instead of directly with MSC?  Did you encounter any problems? If you did, did the travel agency handle it or tell you to call MSC?

We want to cruise on the MSC World Europa, but book with a travel agency that gives us Marriott points.

    Thank you for your help!

  3. We're going to sail with Celebrity and leave MSC for one of our trips to Europe. We see that the MSC World Europa sails out of Barcelona. Maybe in a couple of years.

Thank you for your replies. 🙂

No, that will match to Gold.

Pinnacle would get you a match to Diamond on MSC

We also have Elite on Celebrity and Platinum on Princess. Which one should we give them to get the highest match?

We're trying to decide if to reserve the World Europa or the Explora II in Europe for 2025. Both are owned by MSC, but would the status apply to both lines?

We have not sailed MSC since 2013. We're not familiar with them. They seem to have grown a lot. Thank you for your reply.

I know this is Celebrity & some people will not want Celebrity to become RCI. I also know that I can cruise on RCI to get this perk.

However, my personal opinion is that this RCI perk would be very beneficial to all of us who cruise on Celebrity.

This would really be a plus to improve and increase our perks. Rather than reduce them as this new change has done.

I'm on the Beyond in July 2024 and would love to see this implemented.

Elite 4 drinks, Elite 5 drinks & Zenith 6 drinks anytime during the day at any bar, MDR or Special Restaurant.

    What's your opinion?

We will be on the Ascent next month. We agree! 👍

  6. In the WJ there are managers always standing around. You can stop any of them and they will get a chef to come out and talk to you. They will cook something for you that you choose from what they have available that day. Never had a problem and we're sailing on our 41st cruise next month.

I decided to add the "safe to use" options on my list because before they would not use anything, just to be safe, now they can use the spices that are safe for me.

  7. I am allergic to several common herbs and spices plus rice and peanuts. I always carry a list that has all my allergies in red and next to it a list in green of what is safe to use. When we travel abroad, I take several copies of my list in the language of the country we are visiting.

The first day on the cruise you will have to eat something simple, but after that they will give you the menu for the next day so you can order and they will use only the seasoning you can eat. You can also order lunch for the next day to eat in the MDR.

Even if you do anytime dining, they will have your order from the next day. If you go to a specialty restaurant, you should go the day before and provide them with a copy of your list.

    Enjoy your cruise!

  8. Hello! We're looking at the Central Park cabins on Allure, but the only ones available now, for the sailing we're considering, are on deck 14. We already had the experience on another ship where we had cabins right below the pool deck area and were awaken in the early morning when staff was dragging lounge chairs around.

How noisy are the Central Park area cabins below the pool area on Allure?

    Thank you for your help!

Maybe try a different browser? I mostly use Firefox, but sometimes the website works better if I use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

We always use edge. I logged in this morning and the boarding pass buttons are there now. The first paragraph says:

Please note that your boarding pass on the next page is not yet final. We will update the lower left corner of your boarding pass with a personalized bar code that will greatly speed your check-in process at the pier. This is usually available approximately 14 days before the start of your cruise.

I guess we will see the bar code after tomorrow.

Thank you for all your help!!

Looking forward to some much needed R&R. 😎

In the same place you printed your luggage tags you should see a button to press for boarding pass.

    boardingpass.thumb.png.ad59b61811c1c0bc0a35193f9ceca22e.png

I printed a preliminary copy over a week ago for my Dec 22nd cruise.

We don't have that button, that's why I asked. usually we would see it. We do have the one for the luggage tag, which we already printed. Below that button, there is a grayed out box about doing the health assessment on Dec 27.

I was just wondering because I see so much push for everything to be done on an app. Maybe we will see the button in a few days.

By the way, we already completed our online check in.

    Thank you!!

  11. Is the only way to get the boarding pass through the navigator app? We have a cruise leaving on Dec 30, 2022. We can't see anything online about the boarding pass. We already downloaded and printed our luggage tags. We see that we need to fill out a health questionnaire on the 27th, but no mention of where to get the boarding pass. Will we be notified when it's available?

Thank you for your help! 🙂

We are booked on Azamara Quest leaving Singapore May 5, 2023 sailing to Athens 23 days.  I realise this is a different direction than you are asking about but it should be a great cruise.

We wish we had that many days to travel 🙂but we're still working. We're going to leave Asia for 2024. We may cruise around Japan or do 2 weeks on our own. Thank you for sharing this information.

Is that in Olden itself & do we need to prebook? That sounds right up our street so thank you.

Just out of interest which is your favourite cruise line - you are an officianado!

This is in Olden. The bus stops right across the street from where the ship is docked.

This is their website:  Open Top Sightseeing Bus To The Glacier | Olden Cruise

We found them while looking at videos of people that have been there.

Our favorite cruise line is Princess, although we choose our cruise based on the itinerary, not the cruise line, but if we can find what we want on Princess, we choose them first.
