I must correct the title of post. Further information I've come across calls it the Sands Swordfish Fountain.

What was the first cruise line/ship to homeport in New Orleans? Year?

I must correct my recent post. Further research mentions/pictures this fountain with a different name-Sir Stafford Sands Swordfish Fountain in Rawson Square. Originally had an ornate surround/railing. Some 'recent' pics show a very plain pink tiled fountain with a simple center ring spray. Unsure if it is still operational. Pardon my error!

Cannot seem to find recent pics of this fountain--only old pics on postcards for sale. From my reading, I understand some walking tour groups meet/end tours at a fountain in/near Rawson Square. Could this be the same one? Recent pics of Rawson Square only show statue of Sir Milo Butler.

How many/which ship officers remain on bridge while ship is in port?

Sailed on Fantasy many years ago--1991 & 2007 (Miami & NOLA). I do remember the Jr. Suites on Verandah deck. I do not recall suites on the Upper Deck, now the Grand Suites. When were these added?

Any info on the canopies set up near helipad area on Getaway & Escape bows?

Doing a bit of research. Visited this beautiful area while on a Carnival cruise from NOLA some fourteen years ago. During a beach walk, there was a small 'resort' made up of beach front casitas. Nearby was what appeared to be an old canon buttress. Looking for name of resort (if still operating) and any info on history of canons.

Looking for a photo of the two ships docked together at New Orleans-most likely in 1997. Had found a photo a while back but didn't save it! Made for a great comparison of ships then & now!
