  1. Its not like it will be hard to get to any location on the ship, you can only go so far before you hit water..

That reminds me of a couple of cruises ago, a yng teen girl was walking on Lido TEXTING and ended up walking right into the pool! (Actually she tripped on the ledge and fell face first into the shallow water)!

Well 2 weeks guys! I am SO looking forward to this getaway! And I actually do look forward to meeting you guys!

As for excursions... me and my friend haven't decided yet.

I know Grand Turk is a beach day, maybe some snorkeling?

Dominican Republic, NO CLUE! Told it isn't very safe so, we all have to stick together... GOT SUPERGLUE?)

As for Aruba and Curacao.... they are pretty islands on their own. But open to possibilities!

I probably won't decide until after we set sail.

    OK.... 2 WEEKS!

So, Gordon and Nja0318 (name you go by?) wanna grab a cocktail on sailaway day?

  4. Whew! I was worried you wouldn't have left any cocktails onboard for the rest of us! I ordered Amaretto for my cabin.....(Bon Voyage) The bottles used to be $40 last year or so... now $80!

I have an acquaintance that now lives in DC..his g/f is the aide for Congressman Deutch from S Fla.

  7. Hi, I couldn't find any other Roll Call for this sailing in the G & L section. There IS a regular Roll Call. I am certain I won't be the only Gay person on this sailing.... please raise your hand if you will be on this cruise!

If there is another post..I apologise.

  8. I used to book live poker groups on Carnival, brought 60 or so onboard for tourneys and cash games. I had an agreement with Carnival to do this and if it weren't for the other poker cruise operator taking advantage of Carnival, I would still have contract with Carnival. Due to this disrespect of Carnival, they chose to go with POKER PRO computer poker table. I HATE IT like many that have played it. I may as well play on UB! Oh well, this is the corporate 'beard' think.

There are plenty of choices for a poker cruise.

Of course you can do a google search and see the displays.

But, you have to know what you are looking for, before you choose one.

There are large companies that have plenty of resources to market their cruises. They hold large events onboard and are very well run. However, you may get lost in the crowd as they do attract large numbers of players, plus many of the players make a living playing poker. But they can offer WPT or WSOP seats and large payouts.

Then there are smaller companies that cater to the 'casual' player. They usually have 50-100 players on each sailing. The games are professionally run and offer a real casino type poker room, yet they are more player friendly and as I said before, attract the home game player, the bar poker league player or the online player. Prizes are based on the number of players and your will find both 'live' poker tournaments as well as sit n go cash games. *(usually a $1-2 NL, a $2-5 NL and even a $5-10 NL)

Make certain the Poker Cruise you choose is with an established company. I have heard nightmare stories of 'self' deal games, dealers that are overly 'chummy' with a few friends that came as players and a few that only hold one elimination tournament during the cruise. If you get knocked out the first day... that's it for your poker play.

But if you do your research, you will have a great time on a Poker Cruise. How better to combine your two passions.... cruising and poker!

If you do decide to go on one, I personally would love to hear about your experience!

    :D
