Thanks so much for the live update...It's embarrassing how frequently I keep refreshing the page during my workday!  We leave on the 25th.  If you happen to have any time, do you mind checking out the photo area?  There's a package for $199 for all prints online if we pre-buy but I can't figure out if we can pick the sizes, or if there are certain sizes they print and we just walk around and pick all of the ones  we are in....online doesn't provide much info and other ship classes look like they have facial recognition but not sure if Grandeur does.  Don't waste any time though; only if you happen to be perusing your own photos.  🙂

    I was going through some things at home, and came across the cruise compasses from the last time we sailed Grandeur. That was way back in 2010, and I saw that John Blair was cruise director on that cruise also.

  3. I didn’t win a free cruise but have had future cruise credits from a cancelled cruise. I applied them to a new sailing and a few months before departure they ran a listing and found out my youngest (10 months) was too young for the number of sea days on the itinerary, though I had specifically asked this when booking. They refunded me the original cruise certificate and tried to give me another certificate for the difference I’d paid. Long story short, Call and keep speaking with managers and insist they give you back whatever you paid out of pocket onto your credit card, or however you paid. If they cancelled the cruise, you have a right to get the payment back and I would keep going up the line until you get it. Then you can still use your bingo certificate and then just start over and pay the difference for your new cruise.

  4. Hope you had a wonderful trip! Can you let me know how the cabin was in regards to noise? We have booked 4023 and 4025, the cabins next to yours, for our cruise in 2019. Wondering if we should keep them or switch.

    Hello all,

     

     

    I have traveled before on Grandeur of the Seas and loved it. We are planning to sail her again in August and I just realized that our cabin (4021) is below the theatre - will it be noisy? Should we try to change this? I'm thinking we won't even be in our cabin during the times it would be busy but maybe there are times during the day that practices are happening?

  5. I have been on RCL and CCL and found out that the ship will match any advertized price you can find onshore. Therefore, I went aroudn and picked up all the fliers they had and brought them back to the ship and people were amazed at the prices they were giving me onboard - all because I had documentation; and it was 100x easier than lugging them back to the ship.

     

    Does anyone know is NCL (I"m on the Dawn) matches prices like other lines do?
