Never apologize for rebooking a cruise that you enjoy. We have cruised to Alaska three times. Heading back that way again in Aug of 2019 on our favorite ship the Ruby Princess. We never seem to get our fill of the beauty of Alaska. It is still "the Last Frontier".

We were on the Ruby Princess Mar 22 and inquired about purchasing a coffee card. My wife asked the employee if there was an expiration date on the card. I don't think so she replied. Then she looked at the card and it stated expiration date was Dec 31, 2018. The employee wasn't even aware of the expiration date. C'mon Princess lets train and inform your employees about what's going on. Needless to say we didn't purchase one since our next cruise isn't until Feb 2019.

I think those folks that have never tried traditional dining rather than anytime are missing out on one of the great treats of cruising. That is meeting new people from different countries and traditions. We always take late dining with a table for six. We have made some new lifetime friends over the past 15 years. Two of the couples from Maryland and Canada are joining us for a Panama Canal cruise in Feb 2019. An added bonus is getting to know the wait staff and them getting to know you and what your dining tendencies are. They know automatically to have iced tea and a shrimp cocktail awaiting us. Be adventuresome and meet new people. I guarantee it will add to your cruising experience.

This is very odd. I just ordered the water package for a Mar 22 cruise and a Feb 2019 cruise with no problem. Confusing to say the least?!

Just be sure whatever ship you decide includes Glacier Bay NP. Can't lose.

We had two in our party of four who were not seafood fans and were allowed to bring food from the Horizon Court. This was on the Ruby to Mexico

First time for a B2B for us in Apr 2017 out of San Pedro. We have also taken a guarantee on both. Have taken a guarantee in the past and have always gotten upgrades sometimes from inside to balcony. So if we don't get an upgrade it's an adventure. My question is do you have to actually leave the ship if you have to move to a new cabin? Can you hang out at the Horizon Court?

What a waste of paper. The art auction always reminds me that not all the pirates at sea are off the coast of Somalia!

New York Nana what a fabulous review. You have captured the essence of an Alaskan cruise. We are sailing on the Ruby June 19th with our son and his partner. This will be our 4th Alaskan cruise but we never tire of the wonderful scenery. This is truly the "last frontier". We enjoyed the Crab Shack on the Ruby during our last cruise in April but now with the increase in price I'm not sure if we will dine there. However we will dine at the Crown Grill, it's wonderful. Thanks again for your review, the menu's and patters.

Panda if you are a seafood lover, the Crab Shack is for you. The only negative would be the amount of food served, just couldn't finish it all. Cruising in Alaska in June and first thing aboard will be Crab Shack reservation. You can't go wrong. It's wonderful!

Yes we were under Code Red or Norovirus alert during our cruise. Even salt and pepper eliminated from the tables. That explains the no pub lunch. I think the Crown did an excellent job of responding to the outbreak.

Just off the Crown to Mexico and no longer any pub lunch in the Wheelhouse. Sad to see that disappear. Not excited about Salty Dog. Never saw much of a crowd in there. $19.00 charge seemed a bit pricey when the Crab Shack, which is wonderful by the way, only charges $20.00. Will hopefully look forward to the Salty Dogs demise.

We'll be parking at the San Pedro Cruise port for an early April cruise to Mexico. Our friends will have bikes on top or on the rear of their car. Do you think there will be any security problems with leaving the bikes on the car for seven days at the parking lot?

We were on the Ruby to Hawaii in November. The waiter and assistant waiter were both busy at nearby tables so I poured wine for myself and a table mate. The waiter came rushing over and informed me that was his job and I was not to pour the wine. I told him you appeared to be busy so I thought I would just pour the wine myself. He said he is in trouble because of this. I asked to talk to whomever chastised him but he asked me not to do that. We have cruised a lot and this is the first time this has happened.

Just returned from 15 day Hawaiian cruise on the Ruby Princess. We were allowed one bottle of wine each. No charge for consuming in your stateroom but $15 corkage fee in the dining room. They will store your wine for the next evening. Don't know about water and soda. Did hear complaints however when they confiscated beer that folks were trying to bring on.

Heading to Hawaii on Princess in Nov from LA. Is Honolulu the only port that does not require a tender? We will have one person in our group with a accessible scooter and I don't think they allow him on a tender.
Does anybody do the same cruise mutiple times ???
