  1. The value that I see on my next 2 cruises, both on NCL for the first time on the Escape is that NCL includes the UBP when you book a studio or inside cabin. When NCL copied Celebrity's offering of an included alcoholic drinks package, they made it better because you needed to sail in an OV or better cabin to get it with Celebrity. They did however make it worse by not including espresso based coffee drinks, bottled water and fresh squeezed juice like Celebrity. :(

I have booked a studio and have not gotten UBP included. I wish I could bring 1 16oz bottle of COKE. I take my migraine meds with it and PEPSI just doesn't work the same. Have no idea why.

  2. I did my first transatlantic on the Epic in a studio. Loved it. Did not want to leave. Love the lounge with the BEST coffee maker in the world. Our solo assistant set up wonderful dinner groups and entertainment groups.

The steward will store your luggage under the bed. Unless you have lots of items to hang the hangers rattle around.

I specifically booked a studio for my March 2017 trip.

    Enjoy.

  3. I have not cruised Gateway before. My solo cruise in a studio was a transatlantic on the Epic. Our solo coordinator introduced herself the first night and had we had a group dinner. Each night there was a dinner sign up sheet or the main dinning room and also one of the speciality dinning rooms. The coffee machine was great, morning was orange juice, cereal, and pastries. Afternoon there was sandwiches, cookies and yogurt.

  4. My friend just booked the Blue Harizon on Robson Street for $119 a night in June - this was the cheapest hotel in Downtown, by far! The other option was the Pacific Palisades at $149 a night - I have stayed at both places and they are fine. Anyone looking for a Downtown hotel might want to check them out....

Just check Blue Horizon - on my gov website - states sold out--however, might not be for regular travelsites. For 4- 5 June.

  5. 1. I book using military rate - for all veterans check to see if the cruise you wants has a discount.

    2. Book next cruise while still onboard.

    3. Never, Never buy the cruise-lines water - bring a water bottle from home.

    4. Never use the internet - you are on vacation.

    5. Book land tours with shore based companies

    6. Free self-serve ice cream

    7. Limit soda - free lemonaide & ice tea is great
