  1. Uber would not be a problem. However, I am wondering about your Bainbridge plan. Do you have somewhere there to park for a week? Why not park at Pier 91?

We didn't want to deal with driving and parking in Seattle. However, I think we are going to do it and park at Pier 91. Thanks!

  2. Yes, zero problem catching an UberX near Colman Dock.

Free advice on long term parking at the Ferry terminal; there are a couple of parking lots. Look for the Upark at 270 Olympic - they offer a 7-day rate for $88 that will save you about $30.

Thanks. I found a current weekly rate of $105.

  3. We are taking a Princess Alaska cruise out of Seattle later this month. We are coming from the Olympic Peninsula. We'd like to park our car at the Bainbridge Island Ferry and walk on. Questions--is Uber available at the Ferry to take us to Pier 91 and vice versa? Any other suggestions? Many thanks.

  4. I have been reading through the posts for two days now and still don't know what to book. We are going to be in Barbados for one day (7 am - 4 pm). We would like to be sure to "see" the major sights of the island, but not necessarily go inside the churches, etc. We want to see Bathsheba and have some type of boat trip. We really do not want to hang out on a beach.

I can't seem to find the "perfect" tour, as we do not want to rent a car or do it on our own. Please, I would appreciate any suggestions.

    Many thanks!

  5. I'm pretty sure that on the first page of this thread I wrote a response with a few Jerusalem hotels- I'm leaving on my trip in a short while, and just stopping in for a quick check, so I'll leave it to you to go back and check the first couple of pages. Since your trip is several months away, if you don't find the post, then you'll have plenty of time to ask again when I get back ;)

[bTW- any area in west Jerusalem is perfectly safe to walk around 24/7. I don't think twice about walking around the city alone at any hour.]

OK- that's it- I'm off to finish packing! Happy travels everyone- I'll be back online at the beginning of December :)

For those who are following this thread, I went back and found Ruth's hotel recommendations on Post #28.

    Thanks, Ruth!
