  1. How odd, indeed. I heard it was brilliant.

Lounge was about as empty as I have ever seen it the night they had hasbro and nothing else.

Dont know their normal liquor sales are for the evening in the main lounge but they sure were getting there.

  2. I was on the Glory in Jan of last year.

The Blue Iguana cantina was a few steps away from where they actually make the food. Opposite the Blue Iguana cantina was the Red Frog.

As far as food goes out there, the burritos were Delish! Guys burgers was also out there (opposite the side from where they made the burritos). What I ended up finding was somewhat sad (to me at least), was the fact that Guys and the Blue Iguana burrito areas closed early (I want to say around 2pm).

Also something to note, the Blue Iguana made some excellent breakfast burritos. Was a great alternative to the buffet breakfast.

Guys closes at 6. Blue Iguana opens early for breakfast

  3. I think tipping has gotten out of hand. A nice thank you card would be sufficient. You should tip for server's, salon services, etc. But for someone just doing their job, that isn't in an industry where tipping is required / the norm, I don't think you should do it. That's what makes stuff like tipping get out of control. Soon we'll be tipping everyone. I think it's ok to just do the job.

Tipping has gotten out of hand. Now see tip jars in subway and other places for just doing their normal job.

  4. I am wondering if the FCCs were subject to being counterfeited and used illegally. The FCD certainly resolves this issue.

    I wonder about this.

Initially they insisted you had to return to them by certified mail and than later on you could do it by email.

On Princess it seems to be embedded into your account and was no problem to apply it via a TA while on the phone booking a cruise.

  5. We are taking a 5 day cruise on the Elation leaving 10/18. Previously there were no suites available. A few days ago a couple of suites became available. We called and they told us the upgrade would be $1300 (full price). We are currently in an ocean view. The agent told us to call back a couple days before the cruise to see if we could get a deal.

Do they usually give upgrade deals closer to the cruise if anything is left?

I have been watching the same cruise that leaves today and as of yesterday they still had suites available but the price was even higher on the website.

They have a dept that would call passengers to offer deals. Keep watching the website and perhaps price will come down.

  6. It is. Some people's mentality is questioned at times too! CNN interviewed a female in Boston area who must have been near the ER. She complained she was not told " what to do" except take a shower and monitor her temperatures. What else were they supposed to say?

Go find a bubble and become a bubble girl????

Info coming out though is getting scarier and scarier and making me wonder what we are not being told.

  7. I've not experienced a bad person on the FCD and the past two cruises the person there couldn't have been better and more accomodating.

Plus, I've never seen where they give a higher price than what is on the website. Though, with the multiple fare options, I can understand how that can happen.

Which is more reason to be prepared before walking up to the FCD and booking a future cruise.

Anyone could make a mistake but teed me off when they refused to look at the website and there was nobody on line behind me.

So much easier with FCC's like they still have on Princess. Even better we recently booked a TA with Princess for next year and the FCC became our deposits.:):)
