Does the Concierge Club Lounge aboard the Quantum class ships ever get too busy/crowded?  Are you confined to drinking your free evening cocktails within the lounge itself?

RE Coastal Kitchen, understanding is that reservations need to be made ahead of time? Is it rare that one wouldn't be able to dine in the Kitchen if you are a Suite guest and it's too busy?

    Thanks.

Was in a grand suite on Anthem three weeks ago.  The lounge was pretty dead (week before pinnacles were allowed back in).  Suite guests only get free cocktails in the lounge from 5-8 pm with no limits.  We made reservations for dinner in Coastal Kitchen before the cruise by e-mailing the Suite Concierge.  She sent an e-mail back confirming reservations.  Not needed for breakfast and lunch.

  2. Yesterday final payment was due on my June cruise.  Correct balance was paid but when the transaction went thru the cruise got repriced when I received the payoff statement.  Now it showed that I stilled owed $1,500 more to pay off.  Two hour call to TA for Royal to correct glitch.  Good thing I looked at the new statement.  Except for that one booze package glitch all of the new ones seem to be in Royals favor.  How many people are not catching these glitches?

  3. When the balance of my April cruise was paid off both the Nextcruise and a $50 OBC were gone.  Which caused one of our unlimited dining packages to be cancelled.  Spent 2 hours on the phone with Royal in the Diamond Lounge trying to get it fixed.  Had three other cruises using OBC with pre cruise purchases that had problems.  Will not use OBC with pre cruise purchases again.  Also will ask TA to call Royal when making payments and ensure no OBC was dropped.

Oh no.  Did you manage to see We Will Rock You?  It's such a great performance.

Curious...was Joff (the CD) present during your cruise?  Or only on announcements?  The reason I'm asking is I was on the cruise prior to you.  Mid way during the cruise when he was introducing one of the shows he commented on a scratchy voice.  Then he no longer introduced shows going forward and the activity manager did in his place.  Someone on our FB page said he tested positive but not sure how they knew or if this was true.

I was on the previous cruise.  Last Saturday at the Captain's Corner, the captain stated that two people had tested positive for Covid on the ship.  One was a passenger and the other was the missing Cruise Director, Joff.

has anyone actually received their refund? If so, how long did it take to finally arrive?

Oct 10, 2021 cruise on Oasis cancelled because of covid.  Still waiting for FCC (used FCC and CC to book cruise).  Called twice on status with TA and was told still processing.  On the first call back with Royal they had misplaced the proof of covid e-mail.

I am not sure this is on topic but I had used FCC for a Oct 24 Oasis cruise.  We were not able to take this cruise due to a positive test,  The FCC I used was a 125 per cent value due to a Royal cancellation.  I have received my refund and I lost the 25 per cent extra as RCCL applied that to the cruise fare and it will not be refunded.  They refunded 100 per cent of the original fare the FCC was based on.  My TA said this is standard practice.  Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Exactly the same situation for me along with the positive Covid test.  We were supposed to be on the October 10th Oasis cruise.  However we have not received the refund as of yet.  We called this week and they said it was still being processed.  Then they asked for a copy of my positive test which my wife sent in while I was getting the Monoclonal Antibodies Infusion at the hospital.  Seems that the Royal Agent that requested it had it sitting in his mailbox so it was never processed.  Noticed that when a 125% FCC is used to pay for a cruise, that cruise is repriced lower at 100%.  Guess that's the amount refunded.

  7. About $8000 in cancelled cruises after final payment and still waiting for refunds.  Have 5 more booked into 2021 with the next final payment due mid June.  Really don't want to add more money to the pot so don't know what I will be doing with the future cruises.  Cancel and lose deposit (NRD) or transfer to a later date?  A couple were purchased on board so $200 deposit.

Good news.  Once you decide on a cruise call to see if money can be moved from one to another if needed.  I have been told that they are making exceptions on a case by case basis.

Already booked the Anthem for 3/14/21 but had to pay the $500 deposit.  Will use the FCC and any amount left over for another cruise.  We have another one booked that will now be cancelled and plan to take the refund.

    Hopefully soon

Just received the 125% FCC for the cancelled 3/15 Anthem cruise.  It was received in two emails, one larger amount sent to me and a smaller amount (60% less) sent to my spouse.  Hopefully will be able to combine on a future cruise.  No word yet on refunds for internet purchases and taxes and fees.

I just got my FCC in for the March 15 sailing on Anthem that Royal Cancelled.

The FCC was divided based on what the guest paid on the invoice and not split equally as it was on guest cancelled sailings

     - either they made a mistake on mine

     - they have change policy

     - they are giving FCC's based on cruise fare for the sailings they cancel and are issuing them in equal amounts for guest cancelled sailings

Has anyone else received a FCC from a Royal cancelled sailing?

I was scheduled on the same cruise as you that was canceled by royal.  I have not as yet received any FCC for this cruise nor have I received a credit for items purchased precruise on my CC.  Hopefully by Monday.  The only thing that I received are the C&A points.

  11. I was also scheduled on the 3/15 Anthem cruise.  I did not cancel the cruise (they did), and I just looked at my C&A account and +14 points were added.  It would be a nice gesture on Royals part, but I hope this isn't a mess up with their computer system.  Meaning, you got the points, so you took the cruise, so no FCC for you.  Time will tell.  Still haven't seen a refund on that $18 a day drink package I purchased online.
