  1. MSC has been sailing in the Caribbean out of Florida for about the past 15 years. They are most definitely not new to the Caribbean or the US market. Their first ship out of Ft. Lauderdale was the Melody, followed by the Lirica, Opera, Orchestra, Poesia and then the Divina and now the Seaside.

  2. Been to both of these ports many times. Don't get excited. They aren't great ports. Montego Bay is not nice and can be dicey. Take a tour. Much safer. Costa Maya is okay but not exciting. Stop built for cruise passengers. Overpriced stores, Margaritaville and pool. Beach at port is lousy. You can leave compound and go to another beach. Antigua has over 300 gorgeous beaches. Sorry we are going to miss these. However, I am still looking forward to spending another 15 glorious days on the Divina.

  3. MSC does not allow smoking in the casino on the Divina. It is the first casino I have been in on a cruise ship that smells nice and your eyes don't burn. However, I believe the casino manager can allow smoking at the tables if he decides that the gamblers are high rollers. So far I have sailed on the Divina 5 times and have never seen any smoking.

  4. 14 night cruises on the MSC Divina. Sailing all of October 2017. Right now the price for an inside Bella experience cabin as a solo is $1401.16 or $1333.26 if you are a member of their Voyager's club. One week is eastern and one week sails western itinerary: Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Nassau, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and Nassau. Beautiful ship. Sails from Miami.

  5. Last year I sailed on the Divina in March and then latter in April (not B2B). I had no problem using the drink coupons that I had purchased on the first cruise. You can also give them to people who are boarding if you won't be cruising MSC for a while. Greg the winemaker (blends specialty wines during winemaking class at the wine bar) always appreciates your unused coupons as he spends many weeks on the ship at one time.

  6. NCL even had the hot dog carts on the Norway back in the 80s. We loved grabbing a dog by the Sunspots bar at the small pool in the middle of the ship. The Norway is still my favorite ship. Each cabin was unique, from closet size to large suites. Loved the wrought iron claw foot bathtubs in the old first class cabins. They were soo big!

  7. I have stayed in cabin 8232 on the Divina. The bathtub is fullsize and I loved it. The cabin is the same size as most interiors. It does not have a sofa, just a small chair. This cabin is smaller than the balcony cabins in the center of the ship. This balcony has an unobstructed view without any lifeboat in front of it. I sailed solo and this cabin was perfect for me.

  8. I booked the balcony blitz as well and we were assigned our cabin already. I booked for June 0f 2016 last week. We also received a B-2 balcony #10138. Very happy with our cabin. MSC did raise the inside price for this promo, but it was still a good deal if you really wanted a balcony. Last August we had cabin 11128 and loved that room also.
