  1. we are 4 active seniors interested in Water rafting while in Limon. Please, anyone who has done this, I would appreciate your reviews. We need a Tour operator. Any recommendations? Thanks for any information. We will be there mid November.

  2. We will be dining in the Steakhouse. I have looked at the menu and i wondered if you were able to order more than one starter or side.....for example: i would like both a baked potato and the mushrooms"..or a soup AND the salad. Is this allowed? Just curious. I am sure i will have plenty to eat, but on RCCL, i know they will bring "extras" for the table to try if you cant decide which item to order.

  3. Help me decide...I have cruised many times, but never on either of these lines. Has anyone ever done both? Oceania ship looks nicer, but reviews says PG more " authentic". Food looks awesome on Oceania, but PG gets good reviews too. Which has the more "luxury" feel. Thanks for your help.

  4. Some time ago, I made Steakhouse reservations and also bought some beverages for the cabin. Now, I need to check my reservation and see what exact day I chose for the Steakhouse. I can't seem to find anywhere on my booking that shows this, or my purchased beverages. Can anyone help me navigate the Carnival website to find this on my booking? Thanks

  5. It's been awhile since I have sailed carnival. My sister and I have an upcoming girls cruise together. I requested that the beds be apart, the lady on the phone told me ALL rooms have the beds apart, and if I wanted it together, I would have to ask. Is this right? RCCL always has the beds together, but will separate if you request. So, did this lady tell me correctly....the beds will be apart when we enter out room?!?

  6. We were also on this cruise -- boy, a lot of stuff sure happened that I was completely unaware of!! We heard the announcement about the unscheduled Coz stop of course, but didn't know anything about the fighting couple -- where were they put off? And was the loud group in MDR on early seating? Must have been -- we never heard anything in the late seating.

To all of you who we didn't get to meet at the M&M -- we somehow didn't get the notice about where it was. So, I hope we get to sail again and meet each other! We had a fantastic cruise -- and celebrated DD's 21st bday in style.

Yes, the loud table was MDR early seating.

  7. I was on this sailing too. All in all, pretty great cruise. One negative, and this is nothing to do with RCCL. There was a table in the center of the main dining room that was VERY loud and rowdy every night. I have never witnessed such dis-courtesy in all my 20 cruises. Evidently there were many complaints. Not sure what RCCL or anyone could do in this situation, but it really ruined main dining for us and others. By the end of the week, we noticed most nearby tables were empty. Luckily, navigator has wonderful special dining. We enjoyed 3 that week. Chops was our favorite!

  8. I am wondering if anyone thinks the suite perks should be better for those who shell out the extra cash. For this last cruise we had the Captains Suite and spent $7500 total for the room not including what we spent on board. The only perk besides a great room was first on and off the ship. I mean there are people(interior) that would have to go on 7 cruises to spend what we did. Perks we have had on other lines that I think Carnival could handle include: first night steakhouse free, priority seating at anytime dining(no pagers), something simple as choc. strawberrys and flowers, full breakfast delivered to room(not continental). Don't flame me ,because I think Carnival has the best overall package going. They are making a larger profit on Suite guest because there is no way we are going to eat $7500 in food! Carnival, just throw me a bone:D

I absolutely agree with you! Make it a little special! Seems like for the extra $$ they could offer a little more.

  9. Good thread! The little things really can make a difference:

    1. When you come back from shore excursions, they should have a tent set up on the dock with water, lemonade, and some sofas to relax in, like they do on Celebrity.

    2. Stop with the announcements. Celebrity has one a day...it's plenty!

    3. Stop with the beach towel check out system.

    4. (pipe dream, I know) Stop with the excessive shopping promotions and the stupid sidewalk "sales". Really cheapens the ambiance/experience!

It's like you read my mind....ditto,ditto,ditto!
