  1. Just finished a Holland America cruise which included 2 port stops in Taiwan, Kaohsiung & Keelung. We hired David Liaw of My Taiwan Journey for both days. He spoke good english, was an awesome guide/driver and was prompt both days. He always responded immediately to emails and can arrange a tour to suit your needs. We had planned to do some outdoor stuff but when it started raining heavily he seamlessly readjusted the itinerary so we still enjoyed our day.

  2. I just called NCL today regarding our 2 x $100 BoA award certificates for onboard credit. We also have a $75 OBC form the original booking. She confirmed 3 times that the 2 x $100 OBC's WERE eligible to be applied against the DSC. Only $25 of the original $75 booking OBC was NOT eligible to be applied against the DSC. We sail in 3 weeks so I will post back and let you know what actually happened! I just don't want to leave any of the OBC's on the table!

  3. I was bitten on the cheek just under the eye by somebody's "friendly" pet monkey almost 40 years ago at age 14. Pretty scary at the time having this creature launching onto my head and then leaning over and digging in. Went to the hospital for rabies shot & butterfly stitches. It healed up fine, makes for a GREAT story (you whaaaat??!!) but I don't recommend it if it can be avoided. I am a big time animal lover still, but I sure can't stand monkeys even now!

  4. Ok, so I phoned to redeem 10,000 x 2 to go on our onboard account for a March 4-10 cruise. The NCL rep was very helpful and did say there had been problems in the past. It took awhile but she says it has been done. The extra $200 is not showing up on my online "vacation summary" but I do have a revised confirmation email from the rep that has - in very small print - WorldPoints Add-ons: 2 World Points $100 On-Board Credit Certificate.

Do you think this will be sufficient to make it onto our onboard account?

    thanks
