We will be in the port of Kochi for one day and from what we can gather, there is usually a shuttle bus from the port to Kochi Bus Terminal near Harimaya Bridge. A visitor information centre is close by.  Our plan is to walk to Hirome Market to browse local food and shops and then head to Kochi Castle (about 20 mins per Google Maps).  Would appreciate learning if anyone has taken this shuttle? Let us know if there are other recommendations in the same area we should see?

I would be interested in hearing what you did in Kochi.  We will be there in April.

    Thanks

  3. Our cruise leaves from Yokahama which appears to be the port for Tokyo.  We want to come in a couple days early and wonder if we should stay in a hotel in Tokyo or Yokahama.  We do want to tour around Tokyo but wonder which city is most practical as it looks like we can easily get from one to the other.  Any help will be appreciated.

  4. We booked with Blexie for April 2019 in Havana and Viajes Vintage in Cienfuegos.  There will be a 90 minute drive from Cienfuegos to Trinidad and then back again.

They assured me that the driver, guide and 4 adults would fit comfortably.  I'm concerned that these cars do not have seatbelts.  Can anyone let me know about that?

    Please respond to pcohen48@gmail.com

Our Blexie Tour was great.  We had Lauren as our tour guide and she spoke awesome English.  Most cars can fit 4 participants plus the driver and the guide for $130 CUCs.

Can you tell me how to get in touch with Blexie?  We are going in April and don't want to do a ship's tour.

    My email is pcohen48@gmail.com

  6. We are booked on Royal Caribbean for April 2019.  They have about 3 excursions per port.  I'm not sure which to take.  I think in Santiago we will probably take the one that goes to Trinidad.  But I am clueless for Havana and Cienfuegos.  In Havana, they have Best of Havana, Panoramic Havana and Old Havana.  In Cienfuegos,  they have El Cobre Highlights, Panoramic Cienfuegos, Colonial Santiago, and Birthplace of the Revolution.  It sounds like the "Panoramic" tours are just driving around so those are probably not an option.  I wish I could give a description of each tour but that would take up a lot of this post.

Would appreciate any suggestions.  If there is something "not to miss," please advise and I can try to find which tour includes it.

    Thanks.

  7. Hi,

We have never been on any NCL ship and are booking 3 rooms for our multi-generational family (4 adults and 2 children under 8) for July 2, 2016. My question is which promo package to take. We are trying to decide between the Beverage package and the Dining package. The beverage package is unlimited for drinks up to $11 but there is a charge for gratuities of $68/per person. On the other hand, the package for the specialty dining is only $24/per person but I wonder how difficult it will be to get into these restaurants given that there are 8 of them and 4,000 people aboard the ship.

Does anyone have prior experience with NCL and can shed some light, especially on the dining? I need to let my TA know by tomorrow morning.

    Thanks.
